I also dig the Boetje's when I want to go for that coarsely ground action

there is apparently a MUSTARD MUSEUM somewhere up in Wisconsin. I totally want to go sometime.

I have like 4 things of mustard in my fridge right now, that Mister Mustard, some fru-fru french thing with herbs in it, a chinese mustard, and some straight-up yellow French's shit.

four years pass...

maille dijon

I love rainbow cookies (surm), Sunday, 2 August 2009 16:22 (sixteen years ago)

For the salads that I take to work, I only put dijon mustard on as dressing. If I am out of mustard, I use tabasco.

Yerac, Sunday, 2 August 2009 19:31 (sixteen years ago)

maille is the shit!

tehresa, Sunday, 2 August 2009 19:32 (sixteen years ago)

also hi, yerac!!!

tehresa, Sunday, 2 August 2009 19:32 (sixteen years ago)

Herro!

Yerac, Sunday, 2 August 2009 19:35 (sixteen years ago)

Maille made a honey mustard at one point that was the most delicious thing ever, but I don't think it was ever sold in France and you can't get it in the UK any more :-(

Personally I don't think Colman's English Mustard can be beaten as an old school hot mustard.

tehresa, Sunday, 2 August 2009 19:43 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, that's the one. The French peeps I've spoken to seem to find the whole mustard/honey thing a bit baffling.

Calamari Merkin (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 2 August 2009 19:50 (sixteen years ago)

i find it a little disturbing, yeah.

can i just say that gulden's brown is still great and really necessary if you're even going to have this discussion?
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/8/80/Gulden%27s_mustard.JPG/311px-Gulden%27s_mustard.JPG
"Drawing from his earlier experience as an engraver, Charles Gulden once asked his brother: "Do you think it would help if we were to attach a spoon to each bottle of No. 6, no extra charge?" Soon, the Guldens were attaching fine, imported spoons to each bottle."
