I can see that your head
Has been twisted and fed
By worthless foam from the mouth.
I can tell you are torn
Between stayin' and returnin'
On back to the South.
You've been fooled into thinking
That the finishin' end is at hand.
Yet there's no one to beat you,
No one t' defeat you,
'Cept the thoughts of yourself feeling bad.

A lot of people they get jealous when they hear me rock the mic.
I've been staring at the radio, staying up all night.

If you move to Louisville you can come see noise shows in Lexington.

brock (brock), Friday, 13 May 2005 19:56 (twenty-one years ago)

174 miles.

not that nashville's insanely great show-wise or anything... but we get some cool stuff on occasion. lexi's probably better. well, i've wanted to drive there many times cause they've had some extra-special shows...

Lexington is one hour from Louisville. And also Newport. Newport is one hour from Lexington (longer from Louisville but I'm not sure by how much, maybe 1.5). Newport gets some good shows for the Cinci area. For instance, I saw Lightning Bolt, Iovae, 16 Bitch Pile-Up, Burning Star Core (all of whom have played Lexington several times as well, except Lightning Bolt [in total anyways]) there last Sunday. But it seems no one plays shows in Cinci proper anymore- or lives there for that matter- since the riots.

Nashville is a really great city too!
