Ian John50n (orion), Friday, 20 May 2005 18:55 (twenty-one years ago)

Does Music for 18 Musicians count?

Otherwise: Pop Tatari

A homunculus of Darby Crash, .... created for the purposes of *EVIL* (ex machina, Friday, 20 May 2005 18:58 (twenty-one years ago)

1) a type of music that would not be considered music under the standards of tradition. 25 out 26 helens agree, "that's not music."

2) a specific narrow band of music involving harsh tones at high volumes with very limited form. we've got about 30% of a beat this evening.

3) a slang term for punk rock.

(i offer these in jest/conversation/whatever... let the laffs and vulturing begin...)

jack cole (jackcole), Friday, 20 May 2005 21:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't remember what address i sent it to; it was the return address on the envelope i got from you, i think.
e-mail me your proper address and i'll burn you another copy--it was a while ago.

Ian John50n (orion), Friday, 20 May 2005 21:17 (twenty-one years ago)

A homunculus of Darby Crash, .... created for the purposes of *EVIL* (ex machina, Friday, 20 May 2005 21:49 (twenty-one years ago)

it should be.

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 20 May 2005 21:49 (twenty-one years ago)

wait, so does this mean that dino, desi & billy are not noise? this is just weird now

i saw aphex dj in a shed once, at highbury garage\

except, it wasnt aphex. it was bruce gilbert, of the band wire. i hear they are popular with postpunk revivalists? i dont really know what that means, i think its music for people who dont like piero umiliani. i dont really understand that though, why would you not like that? postpunk is so confusing

charltonlido (gareth), Saturday, 21 May 2005 00:21 (twenty-one years ago)

Dino, Desi and Billy weren't really "the rebel kind." It was all a lame facade.

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Saturday, 21 May 2005 00:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Wow I had no idea that DD&B had a song called THRU SPRAY COLORED GLASSES. This was not on the DD&B LP I bought for a quarter in 1988.

Tim Ellison (Tim Ellison), Saturday, 21 May 2005 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

its on the soundtrack for follow me (the 1969 film about californian surfers in india, scored by stu phillips)
