1967 Moog IIIp modular synthesizer donated by Bob Moog to the SF Tape Center (now known as Mills College For Contemporary Music):

msp and I used to have fun on this amazing instrument. An experiment in chaos. RIP to its inventor.

If not for this guy, sometimes I wonder if anyone ever besides the 5 richest kings of Europe would've ever played a synthesizer.

the oberlin conservatory, where I briefly studied electronic music, had a moog system the size of a wall. They also had a small buchla, which was very cool as well. They sold the moog because all they "needed" was the buchla to teach analog synthesis. What did they do with the money? Bought some k2000s, I think. They also had 2 EMS Synthis, which they sold to John McEntire. Fools.

The moog was beautiful, indeed. It had a ribbon controller, the long one like Keith Emerson used.
