Sometimes an actor can find his way to stardom by just being a costar in several great movies. Such as being the great Francis Bucksworth in Pee Wee's Big Adventure. Or perhaps the magnificent Chubby in Teen Wolf and Teen Wolf Too.

Or how about the retarded guy in Leprechaun. Wait a minute...someone did do all of these roles! That's right: Mark Holton.

Ok well the guy doesn't exactly have the largest resume of films. But does it really matter?

Let's start with the top. The year: 1985. The film: Pee Wee's Big Adventure. This is the film that put Pee Wee Herman beyond celebrity status. One of the first films of great director Tim Burton. And also, one of the debut films of premiere young acting talent, Mark Holton. As the devilish son-of-a millionaire, Francis Buckworth, Holton stole the show. The introduction of Francis and the dialogue accompanying it is classic. But it is the intrusion of Pee Wee into the Bucksworth residence that is personally my favorite scene of the many great ones this movie has. Francis is bathing in the swimming-pool sized tub impersonating a monster as he engulfs toy boats. Pee Wee arrives and a skirmish erupts. Without question the best fight of modern cinema. (I wish I had this on DVD so I could provide some stills).

Then the character that arguably set him one step forward in comparison to Francis: Chubby from the Teen Wolf movies. This character is the classic teenage fat kid. In the basketball game he whirls the ball to the coach in the stands. He is popular amongst his classmates and a devil with the ladies. Proof of this lies in the scene where Styles dumps jello down a girl's shirt and Chubby digs in! (pictured below). His appetite doesn't stop with the women obviously. The man is a behemoth.

And while we can forget about the sequel, Teen Wolf Too, we can't forget his role as the retarded Ozzie in Leprechaun. He's the one that starts the whole debacle with his discovery of the gold. And well...a picture says a thousand words:

And I guess that's it he made a cameo appearance in Naked Gun and Little Giants and then of course the Leprechaun rip-offRumpelstilsken which I for one found a very good movie. I'm running out of things to write on Holton so I'll just leave you with this great picture of him in action again:
