I noticed that Gary and Marilyn's house on 3913 Gail St. in Honolulu was sold on March 28, 2005 for 3.5 million. http://www.caseproperties.com/showcase/showcase_full.cfm?ID='6B37BE64-EEF0-0450-772C023DA36FAEBF'. Considering that they bought it on 6/03/2000 for 1.1 million, that was a pretty good investment. You can find the records at http://www.honolulupropertytax.com.

They had various kingdom businesses do some remodel on it in 2001 & 2002

www.honoluludpp.org/daily/january/01-03-02.pdf
www.honoluludpp.org/daily/may/05-08-02.pdf

All the remodel is listed under "Hargrave Family Trust", as (I think) was the old ownership in the Honolulu Assessor's database. However they also have the entity "Hargrave Family Ministries", which is a non-profit organization, http://www.nonprofitdata.com/index.phtml?cmd=91610.

While I'm sure whatever they have set up is completely legal, as they're very good at that, is there a link between the non-profit "Ministries" and the "Trust" from which they bought their house? I wouldn't be surprised if they'd found a way to work the legal system to their benefit.

Also their real estate tax bill on the Gail St. house decreased $1000 from 2002 to 2003 which seems like an awful lot.
