performance over document is the way of the non-collector.

gygax! (gygax!), Monday, 17 October 2005 22:45 (twenty years ago)

the true way:)

The collector preserves the past, ensuring a document of it still exists so the future doesn't have to depend on the memories of doddering geriatrics.

Jack Cole (jackcole), Monday, 17 October 2005 23:26 (twenty years ago)

The collector preserves the object, ensuring it is tightly sealed in a polyurethane bag so that it may bring OOP L@@K RARE VG++ prices and happy bidding via paypal.

amon (eman), Tuesday, 18 October 2005 00:56 (twenty years ago)

Not really. the collector gets the object in his hot little hands and then jams out to it and gets rip-roaring drunk and forgets to put it back in its sleeve and basically ruins its resale value, but the collector doesn't care because all the collector cares about it is getting the object and rocking it out and getting rip-roaring drunk to it.

HAHAHAHA "Fife & Drum" was the name of a Providence gay bar from LONG LONG AGO. By which I mean the 1980s.
