some of my friends have this thing they call a 'rule of propriety' to try and avoid these awkward situations. the rule: you halve your age, add seven years and if they're younger than that figure, don't go out with them as they won't have heard of blondie. although i can't believe a 21 year old would never have heard of blondie. i fee sad for her.
