my 14 year old brother is a big fan of hot sauces -- he's got his own rack in the kitchen known as his 'hall of flame' -- and dave's insanity sauce is one of his favorites. it's hot enough to satisfy his spicy craving despite his high capiscum tolerance, and it's actually pretty tasty to boot.

too hot for me, tho.

dave's insanity sauce is ok but i prefer a shot of pepper spray straight down the my throat.

Has anyone ever cooked with pepper spray? Wasn't there a Steven Segal né Shasta movie where a baddies squirts pepper spray down his mouth?

A BOLD QUAHOG (ex machina), Wednesday, 18 January 2006 20:50 (twenty years ago)

i like the one dave sells that comes in the glass lockbox w/ key and fake inca skull.

Jon do not use my pepper spray to cook in the apartment! At least take it out on the fire escape.

Also, I believe you are thinking of Under Siege 2: Dark Territory. xxpost

All Segal movies are like that! They're like inverted action movies, "Oh God no that poor terrorist now Segal's really pissed".

Battle Raver II (noodle vague), Wednesday, 18 January 2006 21:27 (twenty years ago)

Segal, man... killer abs. There I said it.

vahid (vahid), Wednesday, 18 January 2006 21:49 (twenty years ago)

i used to work w/ a lawyer who collected these things. he'd bring em to the office and we'd take turns w/ toothpicks tasting them.

sort of lame. like, if you want to hurt yourself, guy, why not just get a skateboard and/or a dominatrix?

i rikey hot sauce.

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Thursday, 19 January 2006 03:49 (twenty years ago)

I love it too. Melinda's Habenero Sauce is my favorite but even that isn't like totally punishing. I can go through a bottle of that in a week or two. The absolute hottest I've ever purchased in a grocery store was this "Harry's Habanero" by The Boulder Hot Sauce Company. Fucking insanity. I've had the bottle for about a year I think. It's actually really good and smokey but only to be used sparingly.

From a Seagal interview with PETA:

In your travels, have you had any special interactions with animals? I was in Japan and I had my own dojo, or school, there. I was having some difficulties with a group of lawless individuals—there was this big conflict.

I remember I was sitting out in front of my dojo and I saw this white dog who just walked right up to me as if he had known me forever. I petted him and fed him. He stayed with me for a few days.

On about the third day, he woke me up with really intense barking at about four in the morning. I noticed that my dojo was on fire. I quickly summoned help, and we got the fire out, and I thanked the dog. The next day, he disappeared.

I don't know what I'm trung to suggest there. Hooliganism, abduction, bestiality... it doesn't really add up.

Mestema (davidcorp), Thursday, 19 January 2006 13:21 (twenty years ago)

britishes girlfriend and friends were eating dinner in a washington, d.c. restaurant last weekend, and someone's pepper spray went off.

Crystal hot sauce is my favorite--very mild but tangy. Unfortunately the factory got Katrina'd and aren't reopening in the city.

crystal was my favorite growing up!! my parents had a fondness for it when we lived in florida, so when we later moved they had a friend send a case of it to RI. i think it is all long gone, though.

Special Agent Gene Krupa (orion), Thursday, 19 January 2006 17:39 (twenty years ago)

crystal's not bad.

hstencil (hstencil), Thursday, 19 January 2006 17:39 (twenty years ago)
