I think I recall seeing Skanking Pickle live on Lower Sproul Plaza. I also saw Dance Hall Crashers and (gulp) No Doubt when they were still ska there.

My undergrad Cali ska show shame is now obvious to all.

i saw that skanking pickle show. i was a freshman. i also saw super furry animals at sproul and also charlie hunter's tj kirk (worst jazz musician ever!! a much greater shame than ska!! i had all his cds!!) / and i want to say i saw some bay area rap thing too, but, uh, i forget.

On the plus side, I saw Fugazi on Lower Sproul and they ruled. They played Barry White songs really loud on the PA before they started their set, and it was a lovefest.
