Ha. My father won this in some raffle at some function and gave it to me, realizing it was not meant for him. Sold it.

come on, rap is horrible! its all about stuff that doesnt relate to everyday life for almost anyone! anyone that can sing about how much money they have and how many women they slept with. its an all-time low for the music industry.

hey, this guy's right. i wasnt tryin to say that my word is holier than thou, i was just statin my opinion. isnt that what these boards are about?

secondly, he's right. not all bands write an entire album about one breakup(like he said, the all-american rejects)but breakups are something a lot of people can relate to, and its part of everyday life. so is being harrassed by adults, having a suicidal girlfriend in a mental hospital, and not wanting to conform. ok, maybe the second one is just me, but its still something i write about. punk, i believe, comes a LOT more from emotion than rap does. thats just my opinion. feel free to tear me down as u see fit.

There are a bunch of underground rappers where I live, and even though I'm not at all a fan of that genre, they are incredible. Their lyrics are outstanding. Sometimes, one of the local show promoters sticks one of them in between sets at punk or metal shows, so when they're there, I listen to the words they're saying. Simply astounding.

Seriously, rap went to Hell. I can't think of a single mainstream rapper who can have a shred of dignity. Raps used to be about something; it used to have meaning. Now, it's just bitches and hoes and cars and money.

I've seriously almost lost complete respect for what music has progressed into. It f**king sucks.
