Carey and I were gonna go drive around Manhattan after reading an article about finding stuff on the streets in Time Out. It's getting close to Rosh Hashanah now which is traditionally a time to buy new furniture and throw out old stuff, so maybe you can furnish your new place, Ian.

ian - talk to the experts - He!d! and J*rvis from WWVV. They're pros, and they live in brooklyn. I've seen them score great shit on tour, but I imigaine it's slightly harder in dirty, disgusting NYC.

I will discuss this with them on sunday, yes. rog- do you know, by any chance, the busses or subways that run near where the show is?

funny thing about that show...i'm not sure it's even happening. I'll let you and hstence know as soon as i get official word. I don't have any hand in planning these things but I've been getting emails that I haven't been able to pay much attention to these past few days. Briefly, the show was originally listed as Saturday the 22nd - a date which does not exist, at least not in 2004. So half of us thought the gig was Saturday, the other half thought it was Sunday.
To further complicate things, despite the date mixup, the show was, in fact, SUPPOSED to officially go down Saturday, but because of the MV / Fursaxa / Theo thing going down on Saturday, the date (and presumably, the venue) was changed last minute. Jarv and Heidi can't do it Sunday because of prior obligations (a wedding - not something that can be missed). So I literally don't know when, where, how, or, at this point, why.
I can't say a loft gig in our hometown with no actual starting time or any promotion whatsoever is at the top of my priorities list as I'm walking amidst the ruins of my former house trying to stretch two pairs of socks and $16 over 11 days.
I'll repost this on the WWVV thread. Seems weird to shave two days off a six-date tour, but, if worse comes to worse (and it often does) we'll start out monday night in Providence.
Nobody's fault, just misunderstandings / miscommunications...
Davenport and, I assume others, will still be playing the gig, when and whereever it ends up being. Worth checking out, anyway, for sure.
