Home is about all I can handle, plus have to get up early to meet movers. Am about as packed as I can get considering I have to sleep in the bed tonight, and the final total is 20 boxes of books + two milkcrates, not including picture books and not including any non-book possessions. My favorite things about weekends w/ the boy at the parents house (as opposed to my house) is that I know I can get as ridiculous as ever because if something crazy happens in the night my parents will be able to drive the boy to hospital etc. There's actually been discussions of moving band practices to weekends and out here (in the shed/barn). Although I'm not free from responsibility: it is in my hands now to not just order my own Wii but also to order hers. Apparently though it doesn't sell til 3 PST, not EST, so I've got a couple more hours of beers and a weeks worth of whatever-they-tivo'd to keep entertained than I had bargained for.

the west side makes cab rides a bitch, but the buses here aren't bad at all generally! sometimes standing outside on broadway and 6th at 2:30 a.m. waiting is a little weird, but i haven't had any problems yet.

ucla has a notable lack of neighboring college drinking spots, or maybe i just haven't run across them.
