Slartibartfast is a venerable Magrathean planetary designer. He specialises in Fjords, having won an award for Norway.

He was woken from a five million year sleep by a final order for a duplicate Earth. Its premature demolition caused a terrible hoohah, and a new copy was ordered from the original blueprints.
