what are you going to use it for? (the roland, not the swa cd)

maybe a good chance to get a cheap sound module w/ some drum sounds, but it's manner of sequencing using it's own arpeggio is weird, the thing generally is engineered to make bad techno.

I have to admit I'm partical to the Korg ER-1, which has a sequencer that is basically a standard Roland style drum machine, a few sampled sounds (hand clap) and the rest are analog sounds with slight tweaking, so while it doesn't have quite as much sound programming as the Roland, it's super easy to use and fun, you make the synth sounds then program them in as drum parts. I wonder if you can play the sounds melodically w/ a MIDI keyboard, which would then make it much more versatile then the Roland. Don't know if it can, though.
