Next weekend will be Vampire weekend in Sofia, Bulgaria
BalkanTravellers.com
11 June 2012 | The vampire skeleton, found days ago in Bulgaria, will be on display from the coming weekend in Sofia, National History Museum’s Director Bozhidar Dimitrov announced. “Under tight security, the skeleton was transferred on Sunday to the Museum, to great relief of the Sozopol grannies,” said Dimirtov, who is known for his eccentric and challenging media appearances. He said the discovered human remnants would be examined by an anthropologist and put on display as from this weekend.
“To those who worry that the skeleton will bring misfortunes to Sofia and its citizen we should say, that he was disposed as early as in the Middle Ages, when his chest was pierced with a metal rod. In this sense he is as harmless as a used projectile.” Dimitrov said.
The skeleton was found last week in the Black sea town of Sozopol and according to the historians it reflects a pagan practice, common in many local villages up until the beginning of XX century.
The metal rod stabbing was performed to prevent dead from retiring to the world of the living and terrorize them, by feeding on their blood. According to Dimitrov about a hundred pierced skeletons were found in Bulgaria so far.

Nico: I never knew vampires could do sex.
Dallas: That's a myth. With a good commercial lubricant we could go for hours.

His reticence has been evident for years, near-literally hiding behind his rack on stage. BAIO's a touring machine at this point with his damn dj act and frenetic footwork, Tomson is a drum machine who's been on tour since before the band started, and arzE has always sought attention to if not himself then his ideas and garments, but Rostam was/is a studio/biz guy, his not-insignificant contributions compositional and perhaps positional, but not thematically key like Koenig's at least from my identity-political and more substantive perspectives. will be interesting to see what gets both dropped and added musically, including who. i'm hoping for a l'homme run or two.
re the stadium act comment in the other thread - duh, but who is these days? contra (ahem) taylor, they're earnest guys who play at being canny. #1 is not unreflective of their perhaps-great content, but also isn't that hard for those of a certain generation in this harder-to-measure era. they're popular enough to fill arenas in at least bigger cities if they want to, and i think those remaining do. the issue is filling out the sound, which requires more players than those present or reproducible with Batman and Tomson's sampling and loops. if they want to be the tristate arcade fire, they can't be gorillaz. so i'd expect several new members of the touring band.
