Ein sehr hübsch Mops!

I still can't decide what name, between Pug, Mops, Carlino, and Doguile, is the most appropriate sounding name for "Pug" (which itself feels very appropriate. I mean... "pug" what's that even supposed to mean? yet it feels so correct).

Of course mops is great too because it just conjures the image of attaching a stick to the end of a pug and using it to mop up spills.

There are a bunch of ideas as to where the term came from though I think this one is quite nice:

Milo E. Denlinger, in his book The Complete Pug, writes: "A far better hypothesis, probably the correct one, is that Pug is a corruption of Puck the mischievous fairy of Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream and other early romances. Puck was sometimes known as Robin Goodfellow or Friar Rush." This derivation is suggested by Century Dictionary, the ethnologies of which are usually trustworthy. The puckish disposition of the Pug is undeniable. Further evidence that this derivation is correct is offered by the employment of the term "picked up" by some of the nineteenth-century authorities to describe the Pug's wrinkled face.

doguile just sounds like some horrible pidgin, pug is kind of an ugly word, carlino is alright but it could be a word for any number of other things

Yeah, that's a popular shirt. I love the lady that draws them - Gemma Correll. I have an awesome bag she did of a sad looking pug in big glasses. And another t shirt that has an awkward looking pug and cat that says "We met on the internet". What? Don't look at me like that.

benson p much

Benson is being a total asshole lately. I am not happy about it. :(

I'd pretend that I would give him a stern talking-to if I was there, but I'd probably just look at those eyes and give up

I keep telling him that I don't like him very much right now and that he's being a jerk but then, yeah, the eyes and the next thing I know I'm smooshing his face and rubbing his belly.

No, no food change.

He's never been fixed and I think that maybe that's just it? He's always had this thing where if he's tired and you try to move him he starts growling at you a little but lately he's doing it all the time! Then he catches himself and looks startled as if to say, "What am I doing growling at my human?" and the next thing you know he's kissing you cause he feels bad but the growling is really annoying and I don't know what to do about it.
