This was the best PPV since Money In The Bank 2011. This was the best SummerSlam since 2002.

I can't remember the last PPV with two legit 5 star matches on it. Hell, I can only name like 5 PPVs in history that have two legit 5 star matches on them, and even Wrestlemania X still sucks.

I didn't see the pre-show but I can't imagine Ambrose-RVD being anything less than an wickedly enjoyable. Also Shawn Michaels supposedly looked like a hillbilly stroke victim.

The Inferno match was beyond stupid, you can skip it. Especially bad was the "How about I put this wooden stick into the fire?" bit. The Wyatt fam have potential if you forget this ever happened though, and Kane needs time off.

Rhodes and Sandow was a decent tv match, in which Rhodes had no moustache and got in all of the offense. Pretty nothing and over quickly - wish it had more time and build to more of a feud but whatevz.

Del Rio and Christian was really good, especially considering I find both of them quite dull usually. Del Rio was really stiff and gave a weird, p good promo after about being a hero to Mexicans.
Considering I find him so dull, its odd that Del Rio has been in two of my favourite matches this year.

There was a match for the reality tv show or something. Also earlier one diva i'd never heard of sang the national anthem (because they forgot at mania?) and also the miz was around, but you can skip this stuff.

The Best v. The Beast was done to perfection by all three involved. Brock was fucking stiff. Heyman was a horrible bastard. Punk knew he had to get his head caved in and played his small guy trying to keep up with the monster role really well that it even seemed believable he could win. If you have any interest in pro wrestling, you should watch this.

Dolph and some chick v. Some black guy and AJ (I've not watched Raw in a while) was acceptable for letting people breathe again, knowing they were going to be chanting YES! a lot.

Daniel Bryan is the first legitimate superstar who could bring wrestling to the masses since Eddy. This match seemed so much like the Stone Cold-Shawn Michaels match at WM14, with Cena obviously hurt and passing the torch knowing another top guy is going to be running the company for a while (until Survivor Series I guess?). Bryan was fucking nuts, especially the spider superplex, the slaps and the clean finish with an insane flying kick to the face. Cena has really improved too, he wasn't just five moves of doom Cena or the guy who responds to "You Can't Wrestle" chants with a couple arm drags and a bad submission maneuver or two. If you have any interest in pro wrestling, you should watch this - Daniel Bryan is now a fucking star and the future of wrestling has OFFICIALLY changed.

It should have ended with Ricky Steamboat celebrates beating Ric Flair under fireworks and the crowd going mental, and this angle being saved for Raw but Triple H will be stealing heat for another 25 years.

Also Ryback had another skit where he got annoyed at someone in catering. 2013 heels.
I'm feeling much better about the end to this show since Raw last night, I think D-Bry chasing down Orton and the WWE title is going to be very enjoyable stuff.
I like the alignment of the Nu-Corporation with the 'other' poster-boy of WWE (tall, sculpted, third-generation and so on, all the other usual stuff that meant from his debut Orton was always going to be one of Vince's top guys) versus the vanilla midget underdog hero of the independent scene.
For once this actually feels like they're not completely making it up as they go along. Now they just need to avoid the usual traps, like having Bryan feud with HHH instead of Orton and lose, or hot-shotting the title change on the next PPV, and they've got themselves a pretty intriguing Autumn programme.
Bryan steadily working his way through insurmountable obstacles and difficulties to give a mighty fuck-you to the McMahons and their vision of what a champ should be = good stuff
