King of Kong

It is a great and entertaining movie, but there do seem to be a lot of falsehoods in it in order to make the plot more cinematic, by many accounts.

Watched Chasing Ghosts last night. It makes Walter Day seem even creepier than he does in Kong.

There's one point where he bags up his referee shirt and sends it to the Smithsonian for its "gaming collection", followed by a caption that the Smithsonian doesn't have a "gaming collection".

Watching Chasing Ghosts right now, proof that King of Kong is 1000x better without whining crying-ass Steve Wiebe. This 1982 summit is as close as we'll ever get to a real life McPoyle family reunion.

Yes! He's really a joy to watch. The thing that bugged me a bit about the film was the fact there wasn't actually much footage of him just playing, so this is great.

He keeps doing this thing where a barrel will be rolling left to right, and he'll do a BACKWARDS left to right jump, and land it. It's amazing!

yeah this game is brutal, and he's making it look like any old toff could get past even the first screen - but they ruddy can't!
