This is weirdly satisfying in a "watch the numbers go up as things click away onscreen" way, but by Day 3 or so it really ceased to be anything resembling a "game" since the money just keeps piling up infinitely, and every decision I make can only cause that infinite growth to happen slightly faster. By Day 6 I turned off the sound and let it run as a screen saver. Granted, I was on the "easy" mode but does anything challenging ever happen in this? Like, does anyone try to steal your employees or blow up the building or whatever?

has anyone played achievement unlocked? really enjoyed the ~1h it took to finish it. lolled out loud at the final screen.

Granted, I was on the "easy" mode
That's your first problem.
Some of the challenges get more difficult. Keeping all the employees happy is fucking hard.

fwiw I'm not saying it's a masterpiece or anything. Fun little timewaster.

re: corporation inc., by the way, as far as i can tell the only difference in modes is that you have less money. it's also pretty trivial to work out an ideal play strategy after, like, one attempt. also happiness doesn't actually do anything, as far as i can tell. i was really hoping someone would reach 0% happy and drive out of a window.

Played Desktop Dungeons a few months back, it's cool but the lack of depth stopped me getting hooked.

Agree with mordy re: digital. Truly brilliant game.
Is very IF'y or hypertexty but far more gamey than just a clicky visual novel. Also has an amiga workbench style OS which is great.

i thought it was great, and an incredible nostalgia trip back into those BBS days, but man the actual "gameplay" got really tedious in the last half - which is why i spent 6 months between doing the first 30 minutes and the last 30 minutes. still, more importantly a really great little thing, very pretty in places, probably in my top 10 of the year

Just finished Digital. I didn't find the ending as affecting, but the whole thing was very well done. I think everything after the twist made it seem much less real, but the initial sequence of messages with *Emilia was painfully spot on.

(that game is great)
The levels are limited to six sides of a box, so it never gets super-'throw-the-controller-at-the-wall'-frustrating. It does my head in, but in a totally enjoyable way.
