Can anyone recommend a snes emulator for mac? Or are they generally better on pc?

I'm using snes9x for Win10, looks great with scanlines + bilinear filtering turned on. Can't help for mac, sorry

i loved the first NES Metroid so much as a kid. can't beat that atmosphere. Metroid Prime i always avoided until last year cos 3D but it turned out to be surprisingly really good and faithful to the series. haven't played Zero or the other GBA games.
definitely check out Another Metroid 2 Remake (AM2R). it is a fan game but it is the best fangame i have ever played. it is a remake of the Gameboy Metroid 2 (which always suffered from the tiny screen) but with Super Metroid graphics/gameplay.
