John Madden Football for the 3DO was the best Madden game.

There is no such thing as a best Madden football game because they have all sucked syphilitic nuts.

madden 95 was pretty good, as long as you didn't understand american throwball to begin with

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 28 August 2009 17:03 (fourteen years ago) link

i mean parts of it were fucking annoying but it had atmosphere

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 28 August 2009 17:04 (fourteen years ago) link

I was going to say that Pac-Man for the Atari 2600 was a lot of fun but I can't even type that in good conscience.

fighting games never really improved after yie-ar-kung-fu: they just got louder, that's all

turbografx-16 was the best console of the 16-bit era

Gumshoe was the best NES platformer.

startropics, astyanax and ducktales are more fun than zelda, castlevania and TMNT

sample rants or ?BURNS?. (forksclovetofu), Friday, 28 August 2009 19:25 (fourteen years ago) link

ducktales was really good.

thomp, Friday, 28 August 2009 21:31 (fourteen years ago) link

Yeah, who argues that TMNT was fun anyway?

No one who's played it!

I have a set of penises leftover from some bach party somewhere (HI DERE), Friday, 28 August 2009 21:37 (fourteen years ago) link

i actually kinda like it, but i didn't want to go out of my way to say so on this thread

thomp, Friday, 28 August 2009 21:40 (fourteen years ago) link

TMNT GBA is rad u r all gay

cozwn, Friday, 28 August 2009 21:41 (fourteen years ago) link

Are we talking about TMNT 1 or Turtles in Time, though?

Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Friday, 28 August 2009 21:43 (fourteen years ago) link

i played tmnt: the arcade game on nes about 1,005 times.

Ømår Littel (Jordan), Friday, 28 August 2009 21:44 (fourteen years ago) link

I'm talking about the original TMNT NES game, the arcade game obviously ruled.

Poxy Fule Of Kryptonite (The Yellow Kid), Friday, 28 August 2009 21:54 (fourteen years ago) link

i only remember playing the NES game at one particular friend's house when in junior school to be fair. i dunno, though, i think the fact that it was punishingly hard kind of makes people forget that it was in fact not a bad or tossed-off design

thomp, Friday, 28 August 2009 22:03 (fourteen years ago) link

The disarming-bombs-in-the-lake level of tmnt really wasn't all that hard. It was the NEXT level with the party wagon and the meka turtle that really fucked my shit up.

Mr. Snrub, Friday, 28 August 2009 22:03 (fourteen years ago) link

Yeah, the one that scarred ppl is the NES game. That was just ludicrously difficult.

I have a set of penises leftover from some bach party somewhere (HI DERE), Friday, 28 August 2009 22:10 (fourteen years ago) link

xpost yes, that damn level where you had to drive around the city, crawl in the sewers etc. was pure torture... still, it'll be remembered with some nostalgic fondness regardless

Hey guys FYI:

I've played either halfway through or all the way to the end but never finished Chrono Trigger, FFVII, FFIX, FFX, FFXII

I thought the original Zelda on Nes was crap. T played it maybe once or twice as a kid

I made porn animations on mario paint when I was younger

I could play the pink panther song and simpsons theme on zelda's in game ocarina

Bethesda's Oblivion and Fallout 3 have suggested that I am OCD. (In fallout 3 I picked up everything and kept it in a locker. I have over 1000 bent tin cans for sure). I'm cleaning the apocalypse :) Actually I think I planned on selling everything in the locker once my barter got to 100... I basically never buy or sell anything until my barter is 100 or mercantile for oblivion.)

Nes Friday the 13th is awesome
