cuphead looks incredible but the gameplay footage i've seen makes it look like an all style no substance game

there was some game on the microsoft presentation called 'the last night' that visually looked like futurewave x lucasarts adventure, was hard to tell exactly what kind of game it was from the trailer but it looked very pretty

everything else was kind of a snooze, i'll play ori 2 though i guess

that overwatch battle royal game had the inexplicable shouting man shouting that someone in the mixer stream alerted a player to a thing. is stream sniping supposed to be a feature? why are the hypothetical esportsers paying attention to a twitch chat knockoff if they're esportsing?

i remember years ago reading about how microsoft is getting 'smarter' as a company after the windows 8 debacle but they're always going to be the company that tries to force every stupid doohickey they come up with into every single thing people might actually enjoy (like a video game console), they will never let go of the idea that people everywhere want to live microsoft lives

Just catching up watching them all now. I didn't realise that so many of these conferences were going to be ran on the Sunday.

The Microsoft show didn't have much going for it as 4K does not interest me, I'm not buying yet another fucking telly for a long time yet. The Last Night was the only thing that looked good.

by running all the PS trailers one after another everything turned into a grey/brown oh-so-serious mush, with the same sub blockbuster film soundtrack running throughout. oh and a FF VR fishing game lol.

Surprised how much the Spider-man game looked like a batman arkham game, the stealth takedowns then melee combat in that first half of the demo were kinda carbon copy.

It's already the 'Xbox' - I expect a ton of X by default.

I assumed the Spider-Man game was by Rocksteady at first.

yeah we already went over that one upthread, the dev is (was?) a gamergate creep and the premise of the game is 'white dude feels left out in future society ruined by progressivism'. shame since the visuals look rlly good.
