There wasn't a Monster Hunter thread

$15 in the US for Monster Hunter World on PS4 and it's the end of the world, so I'm going in.

I played it on release for a couple of weeks. Had a good time with friends, but the grind wore me down and I kinda bailed when the friends did too.

It also got kinda deflating having to spend 45 minutes fighting a monster only to lose and gaining next to nothing.

The weapon design in this is super deep. I think. After a few dozen hours I still only felt semi-competent using the one I chose. Can’t imagine switching between more than one.

man, combat is SUPER clunky... can i assume that's intentional? I'm having a hard time targeting anything.

Yeah I was never entirely sure if the combat was a really complicated, many-hours-to-master thing or just... clunky.
