AKA "Which G4 review show reigns supreme??????"

Personally, the hosts of JD irritate me so much that a scale that could accurately measure the amount of grievous bodily harm I mentally imagine inflicting upon them every time they blight my television screen has not yet been created. Also the writing on X-Play is actually funny; Adam and Morgan are disdainful and dismissive in exactly the correct way to simulate a conversation between two gamers about the game du jour. Also, they conform very nicely to the "Microsoft employee"/"babe" stereotype of gamer gender fantasy roles.

"Also the writing on X-Play is actually funny"

buh??

adam sessler's growing on me, he can be genuinely funny/insightful at times. but they're so awful in front of the camera that I find it pretty hard to watch most of the time - the JD guys aren't exactly a braintrust (especially that fuckmook Tommy Talallarlleroico), but at least there's not skits featuring interns in every episode.

I absolutely love the skits involving interns! There was a recent one about an adult who was a holdover from the Pokemon trading card game that had donut and me rolling!

I think they're kind of awesome in front of the camera in that they rather easily carry off that "I'm geeking out over this and I don't care because that actually makes me better than you" vibe that most gamers I know exude. Both of them are infinitely better than Tommy The Tiniest Troll.

I also love that they cover gory gameplay footage with cute kittens.
