I was getting steamrolled and basically gave up on the first cycle until I hit upon Peggy/Medusa as a combo, at which point I almost literally stopped taking damage and was able to clear them methodically and easily. For the non-required nodes, I used Patch as my 3rd and basically was melting the opposition after casting Berserker Fury/Hair Meddle.

champed boosted peggy + agent venom can handle all those nodes fairly easily

I mean, I was winning (most) every time, with my ridic Spider Woman (she's my highest leveled 4 star), but still, what a pain, with Gambit going nuts & triggering Prof X, while I could only target Rogue most of the time b/c of her weird power + she has big damage reduction. I wasn't taking much damage because of Spider Women, but they were slooooow. I'll get the 8 command points tonight but I won't push any further.

currently champing Nova finally, at 220 now or so. unless I pull another 4 star I already have cover maxed I'll champ Vulture next.

I 266'd Black Panther, my first champ maxed 3 star. I started a second BP then b/c it seems useful to have a champ maxed 3, especially one as good as BP, and because I swim in Hero Points now so roster spots are nbd

also lol that BP gave me the last Mr Fantastic cover I needed. He's better than Elektra but still... Maybe with Disney acquiring the MCU, we'll get better Fantastic Four chars now?

My Agent Venom is only like 150 so *shrug emoji*

I was trying really, really hard to make Spider Woman work, and for a while she would, and then the board would run out of black and it was like WHAM WHAM WHAM dead

Then I switched to Peggy, stunned Gambit and Rogue for three turns so I could down the Prof, then let Peggy's countdowns kill Gambit and Rogue. Easy peasy.

Mr. Fantastic is better than he seems, especially after his rework. Imaginaut is decent once you get some strikes on the board and his stun mixed in with board control can help immensely. (The extra protects are just a bonus.)

Thanks to a recently-champed Grocket and riding Grocket-Gamora-Medusa for the last 200 pts, I hit 2K in the simulator for the first time in months and got that purple Nightcrawler cover, making him not-useless-when-required.

also that combo feels like cheating; there's literally no team I am afraid to attack right now, including that team

I've also been giggling at people who have tried to substitute Gamora with another non-Guardian and then melting their faces

NOM NOM NOM thank you for the strike tiles, I now have either enough purple to steal the rest, enough blue to stun you, or enough green to generate extra AP for three turns, plus every time you match one of my tiles I heal the damage you just did to me

yes it’s so good it gets a bit boring

it's not so powerful that it is better than boosted combos but for shield purposes there's no reason except boredom to use any other team

Gambot/Peter Parker/Spider-Gwen is a real annoyance in PVP now. 5* Gambit is my only auto-skip.

I am very angry that expiring covers made me turn my 0/0/3 5* Gabattery into 1/1/3

Love the new interface that lets you see the gem counts without moving the screen left/right
Also, the PSN version is currently $1.49. Worth a shot or totally pointless without the F2P grind?

Yeah, I saw that this was on sale in the PSN, but it feels like buying this for PS3 (because why would they have released it for Vita, why, why would that make sense, why) is kinda stupid.

so i joined the hunt pve S9 super late - like 4 hours before it ended - completed the day's events and ended up placing top 20 (vulture covers!). nice strat tho a bit risky.

There are two people who haven’t played in a week or more that I could clear out; we will need to coordinate though otherwise the spots will get snapped up by unknowns.

I finally drew a Thor Gladiator. Normally I draw classics but I needed Thor for essentials and Gambit rules. Off these latests i got another Gambit, 1-1-2 now.

I just drew my last Quake too. Of the older 4 stars the only ones I don’t have fully covered are Kingpin (12/13), Venom (11/13) and Drax (10/13).

just champed Rogue & wooooo is she good, it's hard for the enemy to do any damage against her! her & Peggy together seem indestructible?

recently I also champed Spider Gwen & Quake & Mr Fantastic, think those are my most recent champs. cover maxed Mockingbird & Lockjaw & I'm champing Lockjaw next I guess since I have two extra covers. I'm still on the pace of champing 4 stars faster than they're adding new ones.

I'm taking a semi-break from this game -- just doing deadpool dailies. I'm disappointed in the lack of big game additions. It's all focused on new characters, but the base game is getting stale.

I have 21 4*s champed and Phoenix champed as well. 6 more 4*s with 13 covers. probably won't bother with the thing or cho hulk or sandman.

it's def not exciting but I enjoy the slow steady grind. the characters are fun for the most part (Sandman is boring though). yeah there's nothing new here & I doubt anything new is coming, it's just comfort gaming for me now, like doing a sudoku.

I have 43 4*s champed, 9 more with 13 covers. Except for the 4 most recent 4*s I have at least 8 covers on the rest. At the 5 star level I have Phoenix with 13 covers & Dr Strange with 12 covers.

I don’t know what they were thinking having 4* Grocket boosted for the Galactus event; I have literally killed Galactus in five moves or less in every round so far using a 275 Grocket, 5tar Lord, and any other random 5* in my roster. I’ve mostly been using OML and SS as my third and each match ranges between 4-5K of damage. Even on the mission nodes, Grocket and 5tar Lord have allowed me to rofflestomp everything in sight.”, especially if I can a boosted 5 as my third character (Black Widow, Daredevil).

same. I just hit the legendary token, it took more hits at the end (round 8), but I only got nuked once.

Had two extra Medusas, so I spent 240CP! to Champ her. Maybe I shouldn't have...

She is a game changer...

Yeah Medusa will get a lot of use, that’s a reasonable spend if you can afford it IMO

now the only 4 stars I don't have fully covered are Yondu, Nicki Minaj, America Chavez, Hulk main event & Kraven (well, and Howard but he doesn't really count). Champing is a different story: I should champ 4 Pun by Friday, then maybe Nightcrawler or Mockingbird? both seem dece if not in the Rogue/Vulture/Peggy class.

I champed Quake a few weeks ago and I was surprised at hard the crash against Invisible Woman was, took me five tries!

btw my 5 Gambit is 2-2-5 !

Oh god that IW fight SUCKED. Quake is awesome at making AOE damage negligible, not so awesome at taking down someone with her same color palette who can nuke the bejesus out of her.

I just champed Mockingbird and she is hilarious; I foresee teaming her up with America Chavez (who I just covered) a lot and maybe Mordo? Someone else who benefits from hoarding AP. Maybe Rogue?

My Gambit is 2-3-5; my GladiaThor is 5-2-5 and my Thanos is 5-3-4. As soon as I get through my next champ cycle (Nightcrawler and then AC if I can scrounge the ISO) and redo my 2* farm/restart my 3* that I sold to accelerate 4* champing, all of my ISO is going to push my 5*s that can get to 400 (Thanos, SS, Thor, Gambit)
