Sweet game. Dubs folded at the end against Thunder on a back to back but Iggy bailed them out

yeah the offense got gross

ClutchFans @clutchfans 2h
Omer Asik had the NBA's longest active streak with 239 straight regular-season games played. That ended tonight on a "DNP - CD".

so nice to have kevin harlan calling that game last night

If Roy Hibbert doesn't do it, how can it be good? [buys bitcoins]

feel like there's gotta be something going on with asik beyond match ups. mchale playing a frontline of francisco garcia, omar casspi and terrence jones seems insane
this was way upthread but i dont think it was addressed. apparently Asik asked for a trade again. think mchale is a little upset at his effort coming off bench.
funny thing is rockets are a terrific small ball team (as they were last year). dwight has been ok defensively but a non-factor on offense. he hasnt really delivered on being any kind of low-post offensive threat but he does seem to draw double teams still and passes out of it well--but the team is shooting 3s at an awful rate and id wager that, even more than the defense (it was this bad last year), is the big problem right now.
― ryan, Friday, 15 November 2013 15:55 (ten years ago) link
Lin is the literally the only one of the team hitting 3s
― ryan, Friday, 15 November 2013 15:56 (ten years ago) link
huh didn't hear about the trade request
― twist boat veterans for stability (k3vin k.), Friday, 15 November 2013 15:58 (ten years ago) link
yeah dwight was a nightmare on offense last night but i thought he had a really good run at the end of the game on D
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 15 November 2013 16:03 (ten years ago) link
but i mean it did work against the knicks because they have no low post scorer... melo was getting to the hoop but houston had decent success bringing help and forcing him to throw some wacky shot off the rim
so maybe it was a match ups thing

btw jarett jack is shooting 38% from the field this year w/ an A/TO ratio of 3/2
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 15 November 2013 17:26 (ten years ago) link
watching the game last night i do see how not having a real back up PG hurts ball movement when steph is out but they have enough individual talent to stay afloat
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 15 November 2013 17:27 (ten years ago) link
i think the warriors' front office's decision to sacrifice depth in order to beef up their top 6 for when the playoffs rolls around was a very smart one
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 15 November 2013 17:28 (ten years ago) link
yeah it makes injuries more dangerous but seems like a fair risk
― lag∞n, Friday, 15 November 2013 17:30 (ten years ago) link
yeah i mean it's a gamble because of health problems of various players, but it raises their ceiling for sure

They have one in Douglas but he's out for two weeks. He's been good in his minutes, too. Good D and shooting the 3 well.
Thing is with the top 6 they are super strong but any of those other bench guys (Douglas, Draymond, J Oneal, Speights) are all capable.

I think we all knew Jack's last year was the best he would ever have. I wanted him back but the price was too high, good job by the Dubs mngmnt on that one.

They still haven't fully figured out how to integrate Barnes either. I think this team will get better as the year goes ((as long as they're healthy (gonna stop using that qualifier now)).

I know he won't keep up these insane numbers but Reggie otm last night that Iggy can just play free and has no pressure at all. He's like the 4th option on the floor sometimes and he's totally at home in that position.
― Spottie, Friday, 15 November 2013 18:08 (ten years ago) link
also sincere apologies ILH for typing the words "Reggie otm"
When the Warriors get Ezeli back they're going to be pretty deep imo.
Is Carl Landry still alive?

the idea of being a global icon prob sounds alluring but making $30m and being a "normal" star athlete doesn't sound too bad
