wait i asked this in the wrong thread:
is dame better than kyrie now
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:04 (ten years ago) link
i mean if you had to have one of the two of them for this season only you'd definitely take dame right?
oh for sure
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:05 (ten years ago) link
dame, hes a WINNER
― rhyme heals all goons (m bison), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:05 (ten years ago) link
but for the next three seasons it would be tough to pass up kyrie
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:07 (ten years ago) link
oh i put this on the stats thread, but dame might seem on kyrie's level b/c he's a number two guy whereas kyrie is carrying his team.
― Clay, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:09 (ten years ago) link
Damian seems to have some strong intangibles that have catalyzed the chemistry of the blazers as a team this year. He was pretty amazing last year as a rookie, too. I love kyrie's game, but as a blazer fan I would not mess with this team no matter what was dangled in front of me (or almost no matter what). If I were the blazer GM, no way I'd take a straight up trade of kyrie for dame right now. How can you argue with 22-4?
― Aimless, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:10 (ten years ago) link
kyrie in a perfect situation would be a better player but it's hard not to feel like (dumb intangible alert) you could always go to war with dame
― call all destroyer, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:11 (ten years ago) link
I do think Damian has been climbing up the pgs under 25 opo ladder for sure
― Clay, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:12 (ten years ago) link
like a few weeks ago I was the only one saying dame > wall but I have a bias obv
― Clay, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:13 (ten years ago) link

lillard's game winner against detroit was unbelievable
lillard is two years older than irving, never forget
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:16 (ten years ago) link
he is v good tho
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:17 (ten years ago) link
One of the best things about lillard is that stats and touches mean absolutely nothing to him. His coach might have strong opinions about how he needs to be involved in the offense, but lillard invests zero importance in his personal numbers once a game is over. His whole demeanor shouts the truth of that.
― Aimless, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:19 (ten years ago) link
yeah seems like a real pro.

Iggy is back btw, all is right in the world.

Beyond Atlanta, Boston, Cleveland and Philadelphia, I know there's one more significant team in Asik mix. "A wildcard," a source says.

ooh ryan anderson with the dirk(TM)
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:26 (ten years ago) link
the blazers announcer just guffawing is prob the only appropriate response to dame right now

billy king giving the blazers a top 3 protected first round pick for gerald wallace's floating corpse doesn't exactly make up for brandon roy and greg oden but i feel like we're 20% there
― le goon (J0rdan S.), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:28 (ten years ago) link
Ryan Anserson shot was O__o he is way more than just a typical spot up shooter.

the funny thing about the crab dribble these days is lebron seems to be the only one who does it without traveling most of the time
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:34 (ten years ago) link
Rose was really good at the crab dribble
― Al He Miola (Spottie), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 04:35 (ten years ago) link
i mean i guess it's not a crab dribble technically unless you travel but you know what i mean

― k3vin k., Wednesday, 18 December 2013 05:24 (ten years ago) link
amundson just fouled out in what seemed like 5 minutes
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 18 December 2013 05:25 (ten years ago) link
how cool would it be to be some tall athletic guy who cant really play basketball that good but you get to be in the nba
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 05:28 (ten years ago) link
haha what was amundson doing? that last foul he was called out on was bogus tho
― Al He Miola (Spottie), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 05:30 (ten years ago) link
sounds like a dream xp
yeah that last call was bad
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 18 December 2013 05:31 (ten years ago) link
amundson and hansbrough were both on the pacers at one point right? we need to unite them, meyers leonard, and maybe ryan hollins for the all-intense benchwarmers all-stars
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 18 December 2013 05:41 (ten years ago) link
it's been pointed out elsewhere, but batum's cockiness/early claim on that lillard shot is p fun
― bear, bear, bear, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 07:22 (ten years ago) link
Guess it's a little too early to tell, but happy that it seems like Lillard isn't going to have the same career arc as Damon Stoudamire. Think he's getting better at using his athleticism to play proper defense, probably something that will continue to improve with more reps. Hope Portland manages to continue dropping his minutes a bit-- already down from 38 to 35 from last season.
― Call me Shitmael (CompuPost), Wednesday, 18 December 2013 16:46 (ten years ago) link
having a proper backup helps. McCollum's return (?) could drop him another couple.
― Clay, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 17:56 (ten years ago) link
If McCollum becomes available real soon, I could see them trying to work him into the regular rotation to see what happens, but unless CJ shows fairly quick success, the desire to keep the present chemistry and momentum intact could severely limit his minutes. After all, McCollum has not played a single nba minute, yet.
― Aimless, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 19:48 (ten years ago) link
blazers barely beating bad teams last couple games chemistry is over good ride while it lasted rip rip city
― lag∞n, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 19:54 (ten years ago) link
chandler back tonight, go Knicks
― Clay, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 20:53 (ten years ago) link
happy about that, but don't anticipate him to come out the gate 100%
― Nhex, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 20:58 (ten years ago) link
if it means less barnita in my life then I'm against it
― Clay, Wednesday, 18 December 2013 21:02 (ten years ago) link
