personally, I skip bayless

Aimless, Friday, 6 June 2014 04:28 (ten years ago) link

pretty sure no one who's criticizing bron tonight has ever had their calf lock up on them as it appeared bron's did. you basically can't put any weight on your leg at all, it's terrifying.

Clay, Friday, 6 June 2014 04:31 (ten years ago) link

old people just like to say dumb things

Strictly EZ Snappin' Nhex (Spottie), Friday, 6 June 2014 04:33 (ten years ago) link

the way they "treated" LeBron's cramps was bizarre, inexplicable, seemingly ridiculous

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 6 June 2014 04:35 (ten years ago) link

talking about the heat staff?

smooth hymnal (m bison), Friday, 6 June 2014 04:35 (ten years ago) link

yes

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 6 June 2014 04:36 (ten years ago) link

pretty sure any one who's criticizing bron tonight for getting muscle cramps (as opposed to making some legit point about his play on court) is someone not worth listening to.

Aimless, Friday, 6 June 2014 04:36 (ten years ago) link

srsly. like, ppl criticizing him are measuring bron against a mythological MJ/bird/magic/wilt/kareem hybrid who scored 40/game and walked to the arena through 4 feet of snow and just played harder when they were hurt or whatever.

smooth hymnal (m bison), Friday, 6 June 2014 04:38 (ten years ago) link

According to Colin Cowherd, he is a mythological MJ/bird/magic/wilt/kareem hybrid.

nutty game; how the hell does a team have 23 turnovers and win by 15

well the final score of this game is v deceptive

Clay, Friday, 6 June 2014 05:38 (ten years ago) link

im reading this "MJ, kobe, magic wouldve played" blah blah im like...lebron wanted to play, he just couldnt walk. kind of an important skill in basketball, p underrated aspect of the game

yeah was thinking at the time i cld beat lebron at basketball rn

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 08:16 (ten years ago) link

@hartzellNBA: Duncan first since Wilt (1972) with 20 pts, 10 rebs and 90 FG% in Finals.

shooting 14-16 and 6-6 from three in the fourth quarter will do it

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 11:55 (ten years ago) link

shd be noted miami had 18 turnovers of their own so it wasnt like the biggest disparity ever recorded

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 12:49 (ten years ago) link

curious to see if the refs feel like they want to do anything abt the excess physicality

the game went to donkeytown with 4 minutes left and Bron out when it was Spurs by 2. I wouldn't put any stock into the final but the good news for the Spurs is that they played pretty horribly and still managed a win (sort of a lucky one, but still)

the hell with anyone criticizing LeBron for this, he played really well and cramps are no joke. how bout we focus on the fact that he hardly ever gets hurt like this even though he's played basically an entire season's worth of playoff games and unlike anyone on the Spurs he goes for 40+ minutes a night.

Maggie killed Quagmire (collest baby ever) (frogbs), Friday, 6 June 2014 13:25 (ten years ago) link

it's very strange that it keeps happening in the finals but yeah it's not like it's his fault or anything

k3vin k., Friday, 6 June 2014 13:30 (ten years ago) link

it is kinda funny how it takes a non injury injury to take him out

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 13:30 (ten years ago) link

"It was right in my wheelhouse," Ray Allen said.

"I don't care. I'm from Texas, man. We couldn't afford air conditioning in high school," Chris Bosh said.

"It reminded me of the days at Cameron Indoor at Duke before they got AC," Shane Battier said.

"It felt like I was playing in the European Championship. We never have AC in Europe so it didn't bother me at all," Tony Parker said.

lol windhorst playin both sides

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 13:49 (ten years ago) link

pretty sure ray sleeps in hyperbaric chambers and shit he was definitely good

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:06 (ten years ago) link

yeah when everyone else looked exhausted he looked totally normal

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:11 (ten years ago) link

def made some plays he wouldnt have under normal circumstances

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:12 (ten years ago) link

yeah especially that third quarter when the spurs looked really sluggish ray was flying around

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:13 (ten years ago) link

i wonder what predisposes people to cramps, i used to get them a lot in my calves before i started running

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:18 (ten years ago) link

but its not like i was strategically hydrating or anything

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:18 (ten years ago) link

more like strategically dehydrating right folks turn up

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:18 (ten years ago) link

wonder if brons massiveness has anything to do w his susceptibility to overheating

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:19 (ten years ago) link

yeah it might just be bad luck of the draw, though of course getting cramps in warm arenas is a much better draw then arthritic knees or whatever

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:21 (ten years ago) link

yeah considering he seems to be otherwise invulnerable

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:27 (ten years ago) link

tho i def feel like weve seen the first signs of his physical decline this year, like sometimes he looks tired

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:29 (ten years ago) link

he's still basically unstoppable even from an athletic standpoint on the offensive end but his one-on-one defense slipped this year for sure for whatever reason

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:30 (ten years ago) link

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BpbX3yXCAAMJ9vy.jpg

jesus not really appreciating the quality of his seats smh

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:31 (ten years ago) link

altho in the last series when he wanted to check lance one on one he could still do it, but this year he's let guys dribble past him on the reg

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:31 (ten years ago) link

prob mostly a case of just resting up for the offs

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:32 (ten years ago) link

feel like m/l having yr peak athleticism but consciously conserving it is phase one of the decline

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:33 (ten years ago) link

yeah for sure

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:34 (ten years ago) link

his game has def gotten a lot more crafty will be interesting to see how he ages considering hes been the best athlete in the world his entire life, seems like he knows whats up and is adjusting his game accordingly

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:35 (ten years ago) link

and of course his big and strongness isnt going anywhere

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:36 (ten years ago) link

everyone says he has one of the highest bball IQs in the game, he'll be fine

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:37 (ten years ago) link

his post game and three point shot have gotten better as he's aged, basically two things you need to hold onto as you get older

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:38 (ten years ago) link

yup

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:41 (ten years ago) link

wonder how the positional balance of playing the 3 or 4 will sort out

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:42 (ten years ago) link

wade is shooting 38% from three in the playoffs this year. DARE I DREAM??

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:44 (ten years ago) link

lol prob not

lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 14:45 (ten years ago) link

le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:46 (ten years ago) link
