― le goon (J0rdan S.), Friday, 6 June 2014 14:37 (ten years ago) link
his post game and three point shot have gotten better as he's aged, basically two things you need to hold onto as you get older

welp http://deadspin.com/everything-you-know-about-cramps-is-wrong-and-gatorade-1587102837
― lag∞n, Friday, 6 June 2014 23:52 (ten years ago) link
The takeaway here, however, is that fatigue seems simply to cause cramps, without regard for hydration or Gatorade's secret sauce or preparation or anything other than your muscle being tired.
uh really? because when i recently had food poisoning and evacuated literally all the fluid in my body i was getting calf cramps while lying down motionless.
― call all destroyer, Saturday, 7 June 2014 00:13 (ten years ago) link
im no doctor just a humble deadspin reader but it seems like maybe being poisoned could have something to do with it or is at the very least not ideal conditions for conducting a study
― lag∞n, Saturday, 7 June 2014 00:16 (ten years ago) link
also as with the deadspin piece why the calf muscles and not all the muscles it is a mystery

Ray Allen has the biggest calf to body mass ratio in the league how come he didn't cramp hmmmmm
ray did some weird passive aggressive ocd shit to brons cavs, my working theory
― lag∞n, Saturday, 7 June 2014 00:31 (ten years ago) link
oh shit wait bron used to play for the CAVS its all connected
windhorst has been on sportscenter a lot recently, he was not made for tv

the lighting makes it look like he has some chin stubble when he does not.

I am all in for lebron after this bs. I hope he averages 50 over the next and final 4 games.
― sufi john paxson (Sufjan Grafton), Saturday, 7 June 2014 03:18 (ten years ago) link
You must realize that wanting LeBron to win his third championship is a proxy for wanting Wade to win his fourth.
― Aimless, Saturday, 7 June 2014 03:20 (ten years ago) link
you mean wanting three to win his fourth
― Clay, Saturday, 7 June 2014 03:35 (ten years ago) link
I will accept all collateral damage associated with Lebron's domination just so long as it happens.

the portly Diaw
Stately, plump Boris Diaw came from the stairhead, bearing a bowl of lather on which a mirror and a razor lay crossed.

that game was so weird and mostly super sloppy but it was v satisfying to see the san anto apocalypse machine finally kick in in the fourth in the form of perfect shooting raining down from the sky amidst temp reports and cramp drama

Patty was drafted by the Blazers and I always liked him, even though his game was pretty raw while he played here. He always seemed like the sort of guy who makes a great teammate and you could see he had potential.
Pops has always been ace. I can't wait until he and Tim retire so the Blazers can start dominating the league. ;-)
― Aimless, Saturday, 7 June 2014 17:40 (ten years ago) link
prediction: tim will play until he's 40.
― smooth hymnal (m bison), Saturday, 7 June 2014 17:41 (ten years ago) link
If Robert Parrish could do it, Tim could do it with relative ease. It just depends on what he wants.

can't remember if this was posted or not but
"Soul mates is not too strong a statement to make about these two people,” Spurs general manager R.C. Buford said in the same story. “They are kindred spirits. The things that are important to both of them are in alignment. They communicated on a different level pretty quickly. And they’ve grown even closer.”
