I would be excited about the ESPN thing but the watch ESPN app is wonky enough can only imagine how rough this will be

i'm taking occasional ilher bear, bear, bear to blazers vs pelis sometime in mid november ;)

Clay, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:20 (nine years ago) link

this is the time of year where i think about getting league pass but then remember that i subject my wife to enough sports and she would justifiably murder me

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:25 (nine years ago) link

shit that's not a bad idea I might as well go see 'em at the garden vs celts in january, can't be that pricey bc people still sleeping on the pels (for now)

blood on the peaves (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:25 (nine years ago) link

thats a good call if i'm going to try to attend a c's game this year

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:26 (nine years ago) link

i might have tickets to the cleveland game that's like a week away and i don't even know, seems like too much, i might want to keep that team as some kind of imaginary thing that only exists on tv

Clay, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:30 (nine years ago) link

honestly haven't really reflected on how surreal it's inevitably going to be to see those cavaliers, preseason highlights aside. it was surreal enough imagining it during free agencypalooza.

blood on the peaves (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 03:42 (nine years ago) link

all ilhers are welcome to come over to my apt and watch the knicks

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 28 October 2014 04:17 (nine years ago) link

someone should start a predix thread before the games start tomorrow btw

Clay, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:11 (nine years ago) link

istn this it

lag∞n, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:12 (nine years ago) link

we usually do a separate one but idgaf. tho when this one is 6,500 posts long it'll be harder to tell each other how terribly wrong we all were

Clay, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:14 (nine years ago) link

i predict the cavs will lead the league in offensive efficiency and ppg

lag∞n, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:17 (nine years ago) link

i predict the suns will make the playoffs and the rockets will not but i am gonna be wrong sry

its so hard to predict when all the teams on one side are good and the ones on the other side are terrible

lag∞n, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:29 (nine years ago) link

that 5-9 logjam in the west is just nuts also spottie u are mega wrong sry to tell u abt that. rly don't think portland can miss it unless they have a significant injury to one of the all-stars. but i do have them falling a spot. still figure 50-52 wins.

Clay, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:32 (nine years ago) link

yea predictions serve no purpose beyond being -something- to talk about.

no but seriously im not a dick like that (Spottie), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 05:33 (nine years ago) link

come on guys doesn't anyone think derek fisher is in the running for coach of the year, surely you can hand an award to a sock if a dead man can win an election

nah jk there's no way it's not pop's race to lose, and cloudy with a chance of thibs if the bulls go further in the playoffs

blood on the peaves (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 12:11 (nine years ago) link

pardon me I'm new to full-on-complete NBA junkiedom since last year and league pass is 200+? that's pricier than MLB TV for fucks sake.

fuck, guess I'm watching the national games and a lotta shitty celtics action unless the NBA has an equivalent to At Bat

― blood on the peaves (slothroprhymes), Monday, October 27, 2014 11:08 PM (Yesterday)

it's 199 for TV+broadband+mobile access, but it's "just" 149 for all the same stuff without the TV

k3vin k., Tuesday, 28 October 2014 14:28 (nine years ago) link

Would like to thank everyone in advance for the 6k+ Mike Woodson time capsule thread, which I will be setting aside a few hours to read through today to I know wtf happened after Lebron signed with ... the Cavs, maybe? Did that happen?

NB that thread has over 150mb of jpgs and gifs, good job good effort, folks.

― ciderpress, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 12:08 PM (6 minutes ago)

always

i considered putting them in the 8th spot but the west is really deep

k3vin k., Tuesday, 28 October 2014 16:16 (nine years ago) link

League pass is the best 200 bucks I spend every year

There's an Internet only version and also a smaller Internet version where you pick five teams you want which should fill up your schedule nicely if you just pick a fave team or two plus a couple contenders

Mini pro tip the league pass apps let u listen to radio broadcasts and pick either home or away sometimes I rock that while walking the dog

(Many xposts to some league pass chatter)

the internet is rich in previews and predictions today friends here is lowe http://grantland.com/the-triangle/nba-rankings-san-antonio-spurs-los-angeles-clippers-oklahoma-city-thunder-cleveland-cavaliers

lag∞n, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 16:36 (nine years ago) link

xxxpost is there a way to get just the radio? granted basketball isnt as enjoyable via radio as baseball is but it'd be a decent substitute for the giant league pass splurge

blood on the peaves (slothroprhymes), Tuesday, 28 October 2014 16:41 (nine years ago) link

how many zillions of words is the lowe piece, trying to decide if I'm gonna get anything done today

Clay, Tuesday, 28 October 2014 16:54 (nine years ago) link

it's a preview piece tho you have to read it, ILHer's duty

k3vin k., Tuesday, 28 October 2014 16:54 (nine years ago) link

i'm a couple paragraphs in and no bad jokes yet
