#Hawks are 5th in 3pt shooting efficiency, yet only have 2 guys shooting above average in Korver and Mike Scott...

Clay, Tuesday, 6 January 2015 05:12 (nine years ago) link

zaza pachulia managed to have 6 turnovers in 24 mins tonight, which for a big man seems outrageous

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 7 January 2015 04:09 (nine years ago) link

Currys 30 and 12 assists vs the raps the other night was only the 17th 30 and 12 in league history with no turnovers. Last was cp3 in 09

goldsberry final experiences the epiphany thats been eluding him

lag∞n, Wednesday, 7 January 2015 16:26 (nine years ago) link

feel like tho the next big thing efficiency/stats dudes are gonna have to come to terms with is that some players tendency to bonk in the playoffs isnt just small sample size but related to style of play and ability to adjust, ie viewing the playoffs tactically as a series of moves and counters rather than like a flat plane upon which you do stats

lag∞n, Wednesday, 7 January 2015 16:31 (nine years ago) link

particularly efficient chucker types like harden and westbrook seem to have problems when opponents defenses are prepared and locked in, overlaps with ball dominant scoring point guards which also seems to be an issue

It's almost as though how many actual shots you make is somehow more important than your place on the below avg/avg/above avg spectrum from a particular area, in NBA basketball in 2014-15.

man alive, Wednesday, 7 January 2015 16:40 (nine years ago) link

thats not the epiphany!
