Marcus Thompson @ThompsonScribe 40m40 minutes agoThe real difference: Green did not receive a vote on 42 ballots. Leonard was left off 26 ballots
its weird there was like almost no buzz for any dpoy candidate this year, kawhi kinda won by default
― lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:40 (nine years ago) link
but hey congrats i guess or w/e
jk obvs he is a super elite defender tho winning while missing so much time and also playing at half speed some of the time is kinda a sus proposition for an award
― lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:41 (nine years ago) link
idk really who shd get it tho bogut is great but he missed almost as many games as kawhi
― lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:44 (nine years ago) link
no one was really out there terrorizing the league on a nightly basis
― lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:45 (nine years ago) link
boguts and draymonds probably split votes? kinda crazy to have two top 3-5 dpoy candidates on the same starring five.
― #wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:45 (nine years ago) link
yeah dubs line up is murderous
― lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:46 (nine years ago) link
then iggy coming off the bench. when they play curry/klay/iggs/dray/bogut its just too much. curry can just roam the lanes looking for steals
― #wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:49 (nine years ago) link
seems like barnes is good too
― lag∞n, Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:51 (nine years ago) link

― #wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Thursday, 23 April 2015 15:52 (nine years ago) link

obv no one should be voting for bron but i want to note that he has been playing great d on evan turner this playoffs, he seems to be taking special joy in shutting turner down
― micah, Friday, 24 April 2015 10:49 (nine years ago) link
Draymond was ten years old when the 2000 election happened! Weird
― juice college (agent hibachi), Friday, 24 April 2015 18:18 (nine years ago) link
I guess it's probably a prominent chapter in history books nowadays now that I think about it so maybe it's not that weird
― juice college (agent hibachi), Friday, 24 April 2015 18:19 (nine years ago) link

what the heck how did the buss family get to place votes
― slothroprhymes, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:11 (nine years ago) link
Clarkson was pretty awesome after they handed him the keys. Rookie of the week a couple times I think.
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:14 (nine years ago) link
yeah clarkson saved my fantasy season
― #wegonnabechampionship (Spottie), Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:19 (nine years ago) link
nah i'm just clowning he was legit p good
― slothroprhymes, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:23 (nine years ago) link
if it'd been two first place votes, that would've been a lot more sus.
It actually wasn't that bad of a year for the rookie class in the end, a lot of guys hit their stride
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:28 (nine years ago) link
Obviously those injuries were a big deal, such a shame with Jabari
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:29 (nine years ago) link
Elfrid Payton has first-place hair.
― A-Hanisi Coates (Leee), Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:44 (nine years ago) link
Nurkic getting a 2nd place vote actually is kind of ok. He really did play elite defense, which is all Nerlens did really. Not as big of a fan of the Elf first place votes.
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:49 (nine years ago) link
mirotic isn't a real rookie
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:50 (nine years ago) link
he's 23
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:54 (nine years ago) link
24 and 2 months but point stands, not really much different from drafting a senior
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:55 (nine years ago) link
did not realize he was that young, he looks old, like hes been alive since the bible
― lag∞n, Thursday, 30 April 2015 20:59 (nine years ago) link
orlando drafting non shooting guards with high picks in back to back drafts is really something
― lag∞n, Thursday, 30 April 2015 21:02 (nine years ago) link
he's a pretty baffling talent to me. He seemingly based everything off his jumper and then he comes to the NBA and is effective despite struggling with the jumper all year. He's more athletic than he seems too. xp
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 21:03 (nine years ago) link
I actually think Dipo-Payton could work if Dipo could become a 38% or better 3 point shooter and I personally think he can
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 21:04 (nine years ago) link
The Magic's horribleness with all that talent is pretty impressive really
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 21:06 (nine years ago) link
idk i feel like dipo cant prob get to being a decent shooter/scorer but you prob dont want to pair him w a non shooter like payton, u just dont want non shooters on the perimeter at all really
― lag∞n, Thursday, 30 April 2015 21:06 (nine years ago) link
I do think they ended up with two good players in drafts where that wasn't so easy
― Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 30 April 2015 21:07 (nine years ago) link
but yeah it's complicated.
