the over in this lakers/rockets game must have been huge, both teams are on pace to score like 140

the suns already look miserable

who tf is coaching the suns this year

suns played relatively well down the stretch under him last year

if you ever want to feel sadness spend a few minutes imagining a suns nets game

harden looks like he's in visibly better shape this season. his shoulders and upper back look sculpted.

yeah he came out the gates so outta shape last year.

this felt wrong to me so i checked the lineup finder and for the one game vs GSW pau/lma had the spur's second worst two man +/- rating at -13 in 16 minutes.

they are just too slow together and pau's defense is awful. aldridge is better paired with dedmon imo

they could be worse imo and they were playing dubs starting lineup....

guess what? lakers and kings are ahead of the warriors in the division. lol

oh they will get worse, pau is 36.

aaron gordon looked good last night. his three pt shot looked very pure. it doesn't seem crazy that he could credibly play SF with two big guys but maybe the numbers will show that doesn't work.

i kinda wanted to get into the playoffs this year but i did not

i'm going to "stay frosty" til i feel that the cubs are in a safer position, i.e. chapman facing off against naquin with an 8 run lead and two out in the ninth and the cubs up 3-1 in the series. or until the victory parade.

certainly wasn't much to get into from a red sox perspective :/

+/- is just noise when minutes is too low (especially so for multivariate)

as NBA fans in 2016 we should all be in agreement on this one

baseball and hoops have the best most entertaining players, NFL has some guys.

Re: pau, his defense was atrocious. Feet glued to the floor while Steph ran actual circles around him

the only excuse any ILHers have is that they are patritos fans since they are still dominant and have one of two actual superstars in the league + gronk

i dont really "care" but football is objectively a better game to be a casual fan of than baseball

demonstrably wrong imo

baseball is no good unless you know what pitches diff pitchers have and so forth, i used to have that level of knowledge and it was good now i dont know who the players are and its bad, where as football theres really nothing required to understand that a sick leaping touchdown catch is awesome

i think that's true but it's an argument in baseball's favor imo xp

basically unless youre really dialed in on the pitcher-batter matchup baseball is a sport where nothing much happens most of the time

biggest prob w baseball (also a prob w football but not as bad) is that you have to invest too much time to just watch one game. playoffs average has got to be 4+ hours a game.

ya like 95% of baseball is *batter steps out of box kicks the dirt adjusts his junk spits takes a couple swings steps back in pitcher leans squints waves off pitch batter decides this is taking too long steps out of box etc*

baseball was the most perplexing north american sport to get into when i moved here, but it's now my favorite. nfl was the easiest to follow and enjoy immediately, but it's been diminishing returns

my wife sent me an article that said a baseball game contains only 18 minutes of actual shit happening. the rest is standing around.

football is 11 min iirc
