brow putting up 50 in a loss in the first game of the season is very depressing

J0rdan S., Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:02 (seven years ago) link

harden has a shot at a double double in the first quarter

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:05 (seven years ago) link

harden already has 12 pts 7 assists

ciderpress, Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:05 (seven years ago) link

harden's passing is so good

ciderpress, Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:08 (seven years ago) link

and fittingly that quarter ends 38-38 on an off-balance lou williams 3

call all destroyer, Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:11 (seven years ago) link

harden is going to save my fantasy league this yr and i somehow drafted him sixth

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:12 (seven years ago) link

giannis had a big line tonight

Clay, Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:12 (seven years ago) link

the over in this lakers/rockets game must have been huge, both teams are on pace to score like 140

geometry-stabilized craft (art), Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:23 (seven years ago) link

the suns already look miserable

J0rdan S., Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:37 (seven years ago) link

who tf is coaching the suns this year

J0rdan S., Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:38 (seven years ago) link

earl watson!

J0rdan S., Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:38 (seven years ago) link

suns played relatively well down the stretch under him last year

ciderpress, Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:40 (seven years ago) link

if you ever want to feel sadness spend a few minutes imagining a suns nets game

Clay, Thursday, 27 October 2016 03:54 (seven years ago) link

harden looks like he's in visibly better shape this season. his shoulders and upper back look sculpted.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 27 October 2016 04:27 (seven years ago) link

yeah he came out the gates so outta shape last year.

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 04:44 (seven years ago) link

this game is fun

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 04:46 (seven years ago) link

pau gasol - lamarcus aldridge works like a charm

― moullet, Wednesday, October 26, 2016 3:33 PM (yesterday)

this felt wrong to me so i checked the lineup finder and for the one game vs GSW pau/lma had the spur's second worst two man +/- rating at -13 in 16 minutes.

they are just too slow together and pau's defense is awful. aldridge is better paired with dedmon imo

micah, Thursday, 27 October 2016 06:03 (seven years ago) link

they could be worse imo and they were playing dubs starting lineup....

guess what? lakers and kings are ahead of the warriors in the division. lol

moullet, Thursday, 27 October 2016 10:49 (seven years ago) link

oh they will get worse, pau is 36.

lakers and kings should savour this very brief moment

aaron gordon looked good last night. his three pt shot looked very pure. it doesn't seem crazy that he could credibly play SF with two big guys but maybe the numbers will show that doesn't work.

J0rdan S., Thursday, 27 October 2016 15:07 (seven years ago) link

btw it is nice to be back talking about basketball games with you guys

marcos, Thursday, 27 October 2016 15:59 (seven years ago) link

smh

ciderpress, Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:04 (seven years ago) link

hes a cleveland guy it makes sense

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:11 (seven years ago) link

baseball is good imo, it's football that is the enemy

k3vin k., Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:21 (seven years ago) link

i'll watch once we hit the elimination games

call all destroyer, Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:24 (seven years ago) link

i kinda wanted to get into the playoffs this year but i did not

lag∞n, Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:32 (seven years ago) link

i'm going to "stay frosty" til i feel that the cubs are in a safer position, i.e. chapman facing off against naquin with an 8 run lead and two out in the ninth and the cubs up 3-1 in the series. or until the victory parade.

certainly wasn't much to get into from a red sox perspective :/

+/- is just noise when minutes is too low (especially so for multivariate)

as NBA fans in 2016 we should all be in agreement on this one

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:56 (seven years ago) link

baseball and hoops have the best most entertaining players, NFL has some guys.

nomar, Thursday, 27 October 2016 16:59 (seven years ago) link

Re: pau, his defense was atrocious. Feet glued to the floor while Steph ran actual circles around him

6 god none the richer (m bison), Thursday, 27 October 2016 17:01 (seven years ago) link

the only excuse any ILHers have is that they are patritos fans since they are still dominant and have one of two actual superstars in the league + gronk

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 17:02 (seven years ago) link

stephen runs circles around everyone tho

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 17:03 (seven years ago) link

kevin love that one time

micah, Thursday, 27 October 2016 17:47 (seven years ago) link

mean, u r

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:04 (seven years ago) link

i dont really "care" but football is objectively a better game to be a casual fan of than baseball

lag∞n, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:11 (seven years ago) link

demonstrably wrong imo

marcos, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:12 (seven years ago) link

baseball is no good unless you know what pitches diff pitchers have and so forth, i used to have that level of knowledge and it was good now i dont know who the players are and its bad, where as football theres really nothing required to understand that a sick leaping touchdown catch is awesome

lag∞n, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:15 (seven years ago) link

i think that's true but it's an argument in baseball's favor imo xp

k3vin k., Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:15 (seven years ago) link

basically unless youre really dialed in on the pitcher-batter matchup baseball is a sport where nothing much happens most of the time

lag∞n, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:15 (seven years ago) link

did you watch cards vs seahawks y/n

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:20 (seven years ago) link

hah no but i wish i had

lag∞n, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:22 (seven years ago) link

biggest prob w baseball (also a prob w football but not as bad) is that you have to invest too much time to just watch one game. playoffs average has got to be 4+ hours a game.

Spottie, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:37 (seven years ago) link

ya like 95% of baseball is *batter steps out of box kicks the dirt adjusts his junk spits takes a couple swings steps back in pitcher leans squints waves off pitch batter decides this is taking too long steps out of box etc*

lag∞n, Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:46 (seven years ago) link

baseball was the most perplexing north american sport to get into when i moved here, but it's now my favorite. nfl was the easiest to follow and enjoy immediately, but it's been diminishing returns

harold melvin and the bluetones (jim in vancouver), Thursday, 27 October 2016 18:49 (seven years ago) link

my wife sent me an article that said a baseball game contains only 18 minutes of actual shit happening. the rest is standing around.

carthago delenda est (mayor jingleberries), Thursday, 27 October 2016 19:29 (seven years ago) link

football is 11 min iirc
