gallo is so #deceptivelyathletic tho, can get his shot off always and gets to the rim/fouled like a madman.
xp lol he's been great
― k3vin k., Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:08 (seven years ago) link
i thought he looked really crafty, he was doing stuff like dribbling to his spot and then pump faking three times before hitting a jumper where he barely even jumps
so on the one hand maybe his game ages well cuz he's already got diaw-like old man tricks... or he's gonna look old really soon
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:10 (seven years ago) link
either way i'm not sure how he's a player you put a bunch of resources into
― call all destroyer, Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:12 (seven years ago) link
i think he'd be a good fit for the celtics. i think if they could upgrade on the shooting wing/small ball 4 role jerebko currently fills that would be big for them. but i don't think i'd want to give gallo the money he's prob gonna get.
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:17 (seven years ago) link
i think celts fans should feel ok about the lottery bcuz even if they fall to 3 or 4 tatum/jackson would be good fits for them
― J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:19 (seven years ago) link
feel like a secondary ballhandler like hayward is more relevant to the celtics needs re gallo
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:20 (seven years ago) link
i totally have my heart set on fultz but any of the top four cld easily end up being the best player
― lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:21 (seven years ago) link
gallo is a v solid ballhandler for his size btw tho def not on hayward's level
― k3vin k., Tuesday, 11 April 2017 03:22 (seven years ago) link
btw here is a super cool list gallo is part of

rate this statement from 1-10 on the standom scale: chris paul has earned an all-nba 2nd team vote
― k3vin k., Tuesday, 11 April 2017 04:53 (seven years ago) link
he totally has imo
― nice cage (m bison), Tuesday, 11 April 2017 04:54 (seven years ago) link
dame is gonna be snubbed from all NBA bc there are too many good guards but his numbers are prob first team worthy in any other era
― Clay, Tuesday, 11 April 2017 05:15 (seven years ago) link
dame will have to push his team a bit further into the playoffs before he gets full recognition. it's just his misfortune that the blazers cannot attract top tier free agents and rarely see the second round.
― a little too mature to be cute (Aimless), Tuesday, 11 April 2017 05:26 (seven years ago) link
he made the second team last year!

getting hayward this offseason wld be cool, dont know if thats just a sportswriter pipe dream or what
― lag∞n, Monday, April 10, 2017 10:47 PM (six minutes ago)
you should go for gallo 90% of the production (but 75% of the health...) for much less
― k3vin k., Monday, April 10, 2017 10:55 PM (yesterday) Bookmark Flag Post Permalink
Gallos fine but the gap is even wider than this on health- Gallo has appeared in around 60% of games for his career and Hayward is close to 90% (!)
Hayward has been really really good this year, I think he's right there with pg for best small forwards a step behind butler (i just put lebron in his own special category). I would think maybe the c's could use the glaring scoring forward sized hole in their roster and the ol brad connect to lure him but Utah being really good and maybe on the cusp of stepping into the top tier of the west when the clippers inevitably disintegrate probably keeps him there

Brian RobbVerified account @CelticsHub
Celtics' odds of keeping top seed just went up. Bucks game notes indicate Giannis, Middleton, Snell and Dellavedova will sit out vs. C's.

Towns is a great player but man is he soft on defense.

They just said this was the first final home game sellout for the timberwolves since 1997 which is confusing on two or three levels

Cavaliers will waive C Larry Sanders and sign C Edy Tavares, who spent season playing for Raptors' D-League team -
maybe all these moves won't work out after all
― Lebro v. Wade (Spottie), Wednesday, 12 April 2017 03:59 (seven years ago) link
I had no idea Tavares was a free agent, that would have been a very interesting move earlier in the season
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 April 2017 05:33 (seven years ago) link
In "clutch time" (defined as a five-point game inside five minutes), Westbrook leads the league in points per 100 possessions (74.3), shooting 44.6 percent from the field and OKC is a plus-21.7 per 100 possessions with him on the court in such situations.
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 12 April 2017 17:16 (seven years ago) link
All clutch stats are pure variance really. Even with the massive usage sample for Westbrook.
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 April 2017 20:19 (seven years ago) link
It would be amusing if Gobert won dpoy after somehow not being the all-star on his team

the game theory stuff is sick, he's so smart
love this too
These opportunities don't just materialize. They develop. Their roots stretch back over seconds or minutes or entire quarters – if not further. When they were in New Orleans together, Paul used to call up now-Nuggets coach Mike Malone on off-nights to riff on the latest in League Pass. His Clipper teammates say Paul is liable to ask if they saw some random move from a completely irrelevant preseason game. "All I do is watch basketball," Paul said. "Seriously."
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 12 April 2017 21:01 (seven years ago) link
if paul hadn't missed that time he'd be legitimately in the MVP discussion
― k3vin k., Wednesday, 12 April 2017 21:04 (seven years ago) link
It's strange how Paul has become so underrated. I despise him so it doesn't bother me but it's really dumb.
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 April 2017 21:15 (seven years ago) link
Like I'm seeing people arguing that Lillard is better, come on
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 April 2017 21:16 (seven years ago) link
CP3 is a Ty Cobb / Pete Rose kind of figure. He's HOF 1st ballot material, but he is easy to despise.

untimely injuries have hurt his standing quite a bit. also his box scores rarely wow the layman

It's strange how people decided that this is the shameless flopper they'd hate tho. It's about the lack of titles I guess.
― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 12 April 2017 21:24 (seven years ago) link
I don't think there's anyone who flops as much as CP3 that I like other than Rodman.
