Just realized that a Mike Brown v. Mike Woodson match-up might be the worst coached series in NBA history

At least the fourth person I've seen calling PJ Super Dave
(my girlfriend has no idea who Super Dave is but called him "Little Orphan Funkhouser" so she counts as the third)

mike brown like doc rivers last season was smart in knowing what he didnt know and bringing in a big time assistant to basically take over - doc did it w/D and brown did it w/O - its impressive in such an ego driven control freak profession to cede that much power
― ice cr?m, Wednesday, 6 May 2009 16:00 (fifteen years ago) link
OTM. and brown did have his young team overachieving on D from the beginning. His clock management and offensive sets were awful during the 2007 playoffs, but they made the finals based on D. Besides, it's really hard to have the best record in the NBA if your coach sucks.

Ceding control to an assistant doesn't seem like Coach of the Year material to me; I would give the Cavs success this season to Lebron's increasing maturity and to the acquisition of Mo Williams before I'd lay it at Mike Brown's feet.

i can't believe he throat slashed! i think artest views himself as a heel like in wwf except that he actually plays basketball - playing ball is just a means to the end of playing the crowd and everyone else against him

I am completely unsurprised by Kobe's throat-slash - who remembers when he used to go around doing this to everybody
