Really shouldn't even have gone 7. Magic clearly better than Celtics minus Garnett.

i realize that by losing last night, the beat-up, exhausted c's conveniently avoided getting crushed by cleveland. still... was hard to see the starters come out with minutes to play, the seats start to empty, and pierce's forlorn expression. after so many fierce moments this postseason, the end felt very... submissive.
― collardio gelatinous, Tuesday, 19 May 2009 02:36 (fifteen years ago) link
so yes it was a valiant run and they played their guts out in general. hell that's why i love this team.... but i really can't say that about some of the orlando series, and particularly not about game 7. just too many times when quite frankly the hustle just wasn't there.... especially on the defensive end.... guys standing flat on their feet while orlando snatches a rebound just two feet away (eddie house), guys not helping, etc...

Sad to hear about Grant, he's one of the hardest working guys I've ever seen play in the NBA
Anyone catch this WWE vs. Nuggets thing?
"Even though the Denver Nuggets had a strong team this year and were projected to make the playoffs, obviously Nuggets and Pepsi Center owner Stan Kroenke did not have enough faith in his own team to hold the date for a potential playoff game," WWE chairman Vince McMahon said.

"no one at all is going to join me on the NUGGZ BANDWAGON"
If I wasn't a Laker fan I might pick it just for contrariness, but I suspect the Lakers are going to play harder than they have the last two rounds and I just don't think the Nuggz can counter.
