i don't see how either team guards harden really

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 7 May 2019 18:44 (five years ago) link

one reason why i like the esat teams this year is that i think the big 4 are pretty deep in the backcourt/wing... they all will have a lot of bodies to throw at the warriors guys and harden. you can't really say that for the blazers or nuggets

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 7 May 2019 18:50 (five years ago) link

embiid and especially giannis cld cause big problems for both the rox/dubs too

lag∞n, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 18:55 (five years ago) link

they are both pretty much problems in general (at least when embiid is playing well he is)

big piece on The Ringer about Embiid made me realize he's 25, which isn't a shock when you really think about all the time he missed but if you'd just made me guess off the top of my head I would have probably put him at 23. what's really wild is that Giannis is younger than Joel.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Tuesday, 7 May 2019 20:10 (five years ago) link

i feel like i post a reminder that embiid is older than you think like once a month on here

ciderpress, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 21:20 (five years ago) link

this year people finally stopped talking about him as if he's a prospect tho

ciderpress, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 21:21 (five years ago) link

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 8 May 2019 02:00 (five years ago) link

this has been a real yo yo of a series so far

Clay, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 02:01 (five years ago) link

Except for playing to the home crowd, there's not much reason for the raptors to keep the starters in with a 32 point lead.

A is for (Aimless), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 02:10 (five years ago) link

jokic has zbo like touch around the rim, so soft. just get it up around the rim and it drops in most the time.

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 03:03 (five years ago) link

Clay, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 03:52 (five years ago) link

murray has been wildin the last couple games i did not expect that

Clay, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 03:53 (five years ago) link

If the blazer boat capsizes, we can always climb onto the nuggets' cruise ship and ride it a while. but there's hope, yet. even this game isn't out of reach, although obv the odds are stacked heavily for the nuggets right now.

A is for (Aimless), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 04:02 (five years ago) link

yeeeeeeeeeeah i think the blazers might’ve wanted to go ahead and win the quad OT game

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 8 May 2019 04:23 (five years ago) link

they did!

nuggets are the better team imo

k3vin k., Wednesday, 8 May 2019 04:24 (five years ago) link

nuggs have done an admirable job of shutting down dame for large sections of every game and stotts hasn't really planned around that super well imo

Clay, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 04:30 (five years ago) link

good news tho is i got a cool damian lillard bobblehead today so in the end it's a wash

Clay, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 04:44 (five years ago) link

murray and jokic are playing so well together

sknybrg, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 04:46 (five years ago) link

Do Zach Collins and Meyers Leonard have a tandem nickname yet?

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 8 May 2019 05:35 (five years ago) link

That was a fun game to say the least

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 05:40 (five years ago) link

When I go to nuggets games I get a little upset by people who don’t “get” Plumlee

Hernangomez put on the moves and the Nuggets bench lost it 😂 pic.twitter.com/0wCuC2o8Mz

but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 05:49 (five years ago) link

Nuggets-Blazers Game 4 was a classic "must win" for both teams. Blazers really needed to find a way to win that one...now they're in big trouble.

Although overall, k3vin otm: Denver is just a better team, and not by a tiny margin.

― Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, May 8, 2019 1:41 AM (thirteen hours ago)

I became a big fan this year but he’s been bad in the playoffs...

k3vin k., Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:03 (five years ago) link

Plumlee has been fine in the playoffs! It’s the regular season Plumlee. Idgi

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:47 (five years ago) link

What’s going on is that the Nuggets fall apart without Jokic but that’s not really on Plumlee and he’s been great alongside Nikola. Long-term that’s still their biggest thing to solve: how to keep the offense functional without Jokic.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:48 (five years ago) link

think i mentioned upthread that i watched all the blazers scores from one game and plumlee was notably successfully targeted on a number of plays

lag∞n, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:11 (five years ago) link

Don’t believe this

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:23 (five years ago) link

its true, i mean its just one game and one type of play but he didnt look great in that context

lag∞n, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:24 (five years ago) link

wait actually it was the spurs series aldridge had a big game and i was checking to see if jokic was getting lit up but actually he was fine and plumdawg was the victim

lag∞n, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:28 (five years ago) link

Jokic strangely and impressive locked Aldridge down a lot

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:29 (five years ago) link

I could see Aldridge being a bad matchup for Plumlee since he’s mostly a rim protector
