weird game celtics can’t come back but the bucks can’t pull away
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:41 (five years ago) link
this game is making me appreciate marcus smart
― J0rdan S., Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:42 (five years ago) link
Bucks should be up by 25
― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:44 (five years ago) link
Marcus Smart gonna will this team to at least go out busting ass
Yeah Celtics absolutely shouldn’t be in striking distance. Bucks are missing a ton of shots
― frogbs, Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:45 (five years ago) link
If I’m Brad I sit kyrie and roll with anyone trying
― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:46 (five years ago) link
Celtics are missing more shots.

Celtics +/- is pretty interesting
J. Tatum -18A. Baynes -22A. Horford +3K. Irving -18J. Brown -16
― Allen (etaeoe), Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:54 (five years ago) link
Wow that last 2 minutes like 8 offensive rebounds for the bucks then give up a layup to end the half too
― but I can't let Trae do it I got Huerter on my mind (Spottie), Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:56 (five years ago) link
Rough go for the celtoes
the bucks have physically dominated and completely demoralized the celtics, basically there was just nothing they cld do w giannis he owned them completely, kudos to the big man
― lag∞n, Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:58 (five years ago) link
Three players with positive +/- this game (and the only three players that averaged a positive +/- in the series):
A. Horford +1M. Morris +4M. Smart +1
― Allen (etaeoe), Thursday, 9 May 2019 01:58 (five years ago) link
they could've sat giannis tbh
― Allen (etaeoe), Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:00 (five years ago) link

excellent game for kyrie to go 6-21 all things considered
― Clay, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:12 (five years ago) link
he figured since hes done it the last 3 games why not keep doing it
― lag∞n, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:12 (five years ago) link
This is exactly how I pictured this game in my wet dreams
― frogbs, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:13 (five years ago) link
too bad philly prob wont advance wld like to see embiid-simmons take a shot at defending giannis
― lag∞n, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:14 (five years ago) link
i will say this--the worst thing about this celtics season was just trying to enjoy the team on a day to day basis. like, i would turn on the game on a random weeknight, set aside time or whatever (or at least tell my wife that we were not watching something together that night), and watch them get completely blown out by some team like orlando. it wasn't fun. i've seen plenty of toxic teams and probably rooted for a couple in other sports but this one really stung.

this kyrie year is one of the weirder nba things in recent memory. not quite up there with kawhi last season or the pacers implosion a few years ago but still supremely weird all around
― Clay, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:24 (five years ago) link
he is a weirdo

celtics twitter pretty maudlin right now lol

What if I told you that the Celtics had more talent than just about any team in the NBA, yet couldn’t keep it together long enough to not humiliate themselves the entire season?Presenting a 30 For 30: Love Lost in Erotic City— Jared Weiss (@JaredWeissNBA) May 9, 2019

i feel like i rode pretty hard for kyrie this year when he was playing efficient offense and trying hard on defense but watching him in this series repeatedly alter the defense so he can "try" to guard giannis has me thinking that he's just an idiot.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:29 (five years ago) link
I hated this team

for the record i hope that milwaukee gets rolled because i dislike their team outside of giannis.
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:33 (five years ago) link
giannis maybe the most unfair player since shaq, like sure the celtics underachieved and whatnot but im not sure theres anything they cldve done with him under the best circumstances
― lag∞n, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:34 (five years ago) link
doesn't explain their awful offensive performance in this series
― call all destroyer, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:35 (five years ago) link
if they went out in a competitive 6 games because giannis was transcendent that would be a different story
bucks are a really good defensive team and i think just seeing giannis at the line, dunking, dunking from the line every play is just demoralizing
― lag∞n, Thursday, 9 May 2019 02:36 (five years ago) link
but yeah they prob wldve taken another game at least if they werent so trashy in their own right

we built a shitty rickety rollercoaster that no one wanted and then rode it all season. we deserve credit for not perishing on this deathtrap of our own creation.

yeah really interesting sequence where the rockets got the benefit of like 3 straight no-calls on both ends that could have gone either way
also austin rivers blowing by draymond and putting him on his heels was a “wow” moment, you just don’t see that
