The second half of the regular season bubble has been very sus

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 00:58 (three years ago) link

i mean it's not really that much different than any recent season in the last week, there's a few teams to play for and everyone else is just coasting

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 August 2020 02:02 (three years ago) link

heat and pacers full rosters busting ass tonight in a game that doesn't really matter at all

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 August 2020 02:03 (three years ago) link

playoff prep

micah, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 02:10 (three years ago) link

Why would you fire McMillan? That team consistently outperforms expectations and overcomes adversity.

Evans on Hammond (evol j), Tuesday, 11 August 2020 02:49 (three years ago) link

the amount of passing ability from the front court on the nuggets roster is just wild

lakers crunch time line up getting beaten by mason plumlee and bol bol :-/

in a shocking turn of events bol bol not ready to protect the rim on bron

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 August 2020 03:36 (three years ago) link

and the game will be decided, as everyone expected, on some pj dozier free throws

They had 4 months off and most teams tried for 4 of the 8 games. It sucks

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 03:50 (three years ago) link

The last week of an 82 game season is a lot more understandable to be sus than the second week after 4 months off

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 03:51 (three years ago) link

lol come on matt

call all destroyer, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 03:51 (three years ago) link

matt's expectations run deeper than mine. he also lays money on games.

the unappreciated charisma of cows (Aimless), Tuesday, 11 August 2020 03:57 (three years ago) link

sadly after the eight largely meaningless seeding games we only get the famously half assed nba playoffs :/

Clay, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 04:01 (three years ago) link

If this is the result then they needed to play more than 8 regular season games.

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 04:18 (three years ago) link

I mean giannis just skipped a game with a toothache. That sucks

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 04:19 (three years ago) link

does it really...

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 August 2020 04:33 (three years ago) link

what would adding more games do except delay the intractable part of a sports season where a team whose playoff spot is secure rests some of its players before the playoffs

J0rdan S., Tuesday, 11 August 2020 04:34 (three years ago) link

Maybe they should have just done away with the playoffs and offseason and we could just have a perpetual season.

Mom jokes are his way of showing affection (to your mom) (PBKR), Tuesday, 11 August 2020 11:10 (three years ago) link

every game should be the championship of its own season just an idea

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 12:19 (three years ago) link

They should have not done a regular season if it was just going to be a joke where most teams didn’t even care about seeding

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 13:22 (three years ago) link

theres no homecourt lol

lag∞n, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 13:29 (three years ago) link

the fuck? it's not like it's unwatchable and besides there isn't shit else on to watch, it's fine. xp

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 14:03 (three years ago) link

feel like the rustiness and the reffing have both been worse than the resting which is just daily operating procedure in 2020 nba which is why the season should be shortened

kudos

Congratulations (?) to the Sacramento Kings for clinching the second-longest playoff drought in NBA history yesterday (14 seasons).

Only the Buffalo Braves/San Diego/Los Angeles Clippers’ 15-year streak (1977-91) stands between them and futility history. pic.twitter.com/mvIBqJpt6M

You just watched Bol bol play the last 14 minutes of a close game

Matt Armstrong, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 16:21 (three years ago) link

been a blast watching the teams who are fighting for the 8-9 in the west (besides the pelicans and kings). the lakers clippers game was super good. weve had a lot of close games and overtime games.

Spottie, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 16:27 (three years ago) link

what games still matter in the remaining pre-playoff roster?

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Tuesday, 11 August 2020 16:33 (three years ago) link

all the suns, grizz, blazers and spurs games

Spottie, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 16:38 (three years ago) link

thanx. blazers/mavs tonight looks like the one to watch.

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Tuesday, 11 August 2020 16:41 (three years ago) link

also 2-7 in the west are all playing (or losing) for seeding positions maybe. also 4-6 in the east.

Spottie, Tuesday, 11 August 2020 16:41 (three years ago) link

yeah I've seen those teams xp a lot because here in Europe they're the ones whose games are starting before 12:30am. they're been fun! the us east & west coast teams get the later starting times so I haven't seen them as much. also we've seen lots of jazz games, less fun than those four.
