Hubie Brown like many good coaches is really good calling a game and picking apart plays. Al McGuire was good at that too. It was the only thing good about Bobby Knight calling games.

Kawhi Leonard is shooting 24 of 30 (80%) on shots between 10-14 feet in the playoffs. I mean, look at this green. These are better than layups for him. It's insane. pic.twitter.com/XCB39UveHg

fr tho, if guys start becoming hyperefficient midrange shooters (like >60%) it will change the game 4ever

being a good midrange shooter is a big advantage when defenses starts to tighten in the offs

lag∞n, Friday, 4 September 2020 13:17 (three years ago) link

Ideal scenario is that midrange efficiency increases enough that points per is competitive/interchangeable with 3s

Lavator Shemmelpennick, Friday, 4 September 2020 13:23 (three years ago) link

fwiw the idea that those shots that kawhi is making inside the ft have become unpopular in the nba is just not true, there was a chart around here somewhere, its really just the long twos thatve been converted to three thats the big shift, i mean even james harden himself takes 10 footers

lag∞n, Friday, 4 September 2020 13:27 (three years ago) link

i watched part of the game iversons sixers took off of the lakers a while ago and it was crazy how many shots guys were taking one step inside the line or with their foot on the line they just didnt care lol

lag∞n, Friday, 4 September 2020 13:29 (three years ago) link

in this past regular season, only 5 players averaged 3 or more shots from 10-14 feet per game. they've all played in an all-star game. any guesses?

Everyone panicking about the nuggets again. Amazing how people respond to one playoff game. I guess I did it too

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 4 September 2020 14:44 (three years ago) link

i think its fair to panic about this series the clips are really good and a tough match up for thee nuggs also they have kawhi who is the terminator

they got beverly back, pg stopped drinking before games

kawhi could win back to back titles/finals mvps on different teams. and he might be out of the league in 2 years.

methinks dababy doth bop shit too much (m bison), Friday, 4 September 2020 15:07 (three years ago) link

why would he be out of the league in two years?

Spottie, Friday, 4 September 2020 15:19 (three years ago) link

i think the nuggets are pretty big dogs in this series

ciderpress, Friday, 4 September 2020 15:29 (three years ago) link

don't really expect them to win more than 1 game

ciderpress, Friday, 4 September 2020 15:30 (three years ago) link

clips have the best roster in the offs pretty easy

lag∞n, Friday, 4 September 2020 15:32 (three years ago) link

This was definitely a schedule loss for the nuggets. Obviously they’re the underdog but that’s why you play the games!

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 4 September 2020 15:36 (three years ago) link

Clippers bring me no joy. I think that if the Finals ends up being Clips vs. Celts I will actually, painfully root for the latter.

would much prefer clips over lakers tbh

Fuck the NRA (ulysses), Friday, 4 September 2020 18:26 (three years ago) link

honestly, celts clippers would be an amazing matchup. both feature two outstanding wings, celts with their up and comers, clippers with their established all-stars. bev on kemba matchup. lotta hoop left tho.

clips vs celtics final would be a tough moral dilemma for me! ugh i'd have to go boston in that one i guess

Clips vs. Celts, 7 PM EDT. A bubbly Microsoft billionaire and his merry band of guns-for-hire set out to topple an NBA dynasty. Rated PG.

heat stuntin on the bucks

Why are the Heat so good at slowing Giannis Antetokounmpo? It's not because they double-team or switch well. It's because they close his space by ... stunting.

Here's how they do it and how the Bucks can respond.https://t.co/K4CL3BYPWp
