lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 03:11 (three years ago) link

tbh haven’t seen much this year to convince me that we’re headed for anything other than the lakers going back to back pretty comfortably

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 January 2021 03:14 (three years ago) link

yup

call all destroyer, Friday, 22 January 2021 03:28 (three years ago) link

i miss the old irrelevant Lakers and as much as I kinda like LeBron and Ant Davis, I hate that they teamed up on the fucking Lakers.

Respectfully Yours, (Aimless), Friday, 22 January 2021 03:35 (three years ago) link

i feel like it has already been forgotten that brow was leaning well into heel territory in his last year with the pelis

Clay, Friday, 22 January 2021 03:49 (three years ago) link

Davis isn't such a sweet guy the world can't help but love him. otoh, it was obvious to me that NO is not a very competent franchise and he was being wasted there, so his being unhappy at that explains much. It isn't looking good for NO knowing how to make the most of our transcendent son Zion either.

Respectfully Yours, (Aimless), Friday, 22 January 2021 03:56 (three years ago) link

looks like the rockets are going to pick up kevin porter jr. for nothing

call all destroyer, Friday, 22 January 2021 04:06 (three years ago) link

and what a strong culture they will be welcoming him into

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 January 2021 04:08 (three years ago) link

dray must have said one of the magic words

micah, Friday, 22 January 2021 04:15 (three years ago) link

just saw it, completely ridiculous

call all destroyer, Friday, 22 January 2021 04:31 (three years ago) link

That’s crazy

For those wondering, here's the play right before the ejection: Draymond Green tries to make an entry pass to James Wiseman, but a miscommunication leads to a turnover. As they get back on defense, Green yells at Wiseman and the refs ejected him! https://t.co/L3VbMNprs9

Clay, Friday, 22 January 2021 07:18 (three years ago) link

the fuck

Li'l Brexit (Tracer Hand), Friday, 22 January 2021 08:51 (three years ago) link

ugh. that sucks.

cajunsunday, Friday, 22 January 2021 09:08 (three years ago) link

they were being so negative about mitchell in the halftime of that game. it was bizarre.

call all destroyer, Friday, 22 January 2021 12:08 (three years ago) link

It is a shame to see Shaq going hard like he was some Jordan-esque mind warrior of the game instead of just the biggest, strongest guy on the court. If you were such a basketball ubermensch maybe you would have shot better than 53% from the line for your career.

Smokahontas and John Spliff (PBKR), Friday, 22 January 2021 12:45 (three years ago) link

Pfft he could have averaged 20 rebounds a game

(•̪●) (carne asada), Friday, 22 January 2021 13:19 (three years ago) link

what the hell Shaq, he's so weird on that show, grumpy and no fun

saw him on First Take yesterday and he was super fun, like the big kid vibe, what happened to him on TNT?

past his bedtimes

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 14:35 (three years ago) link

He ruined inside the nba the second he joined the crew

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Friday, 22 January 2021 15:36 (three years ago) link

yeah shaq has always been lame but inside the nba shaq is the lamest shaq of all

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 15:44 (three years ago) link

looks like the rockets are going to pick up kevin porter jr. for nothing

Not the worst spot for him

Matt Armstrong, Friday, 22 January 2021 15:53 (three years ago) link

just give him a normal locker haha

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 15:58 (three years ago) link

Time for Shaq and Chuckles to move on honestly

Nhex, Friday, 22 January 2021 15:59 (three years ago) link

yeah chucks been cooked

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:00 (three years ago) link

its wild that the nba media employs so many people who just repeatedly shit on contemporary basketball, like that is bad for business, the nfl doesnt do that

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:01 (three years ago) link

they should bring in Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson

(•̪●) (carne asada), Friday, 22 January 2021 16:05 (three years ago) link

otm

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:07 (three years ago) link

they should bring in matt barnes and derek fisher

i still love inside the NBA, great show. it's funny & entertaining more often than annoying

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 January 2021 16:36 (three years ago) link

qft but never gonna happen
shaq and chuck are long past the point where 75% their commentary is about them and not the game. At least Kenny still does a good job of talking about players as if he's not their father.

i used to purposely watch it now sometimes i find myself watching it

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:40 (three years ago) link

people are twitter defending Shaq like "That's what [Kobe/Jordan] was like he's just challenging them to be better!" as if there's not a difference between being the best player on a championship level team getting at teammates in practice vs. a big bloated old timer talking shit on a TV show

Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Friday, 22 January 2021 16:44 (three years ago) link

it’s fun to have it on after a good game, the appeal is not really in basketball analysis altho they do sometimes say interesting things about basketball or the NBA as a culture

J0rdan S., Friday, 22 January 2021 16:45 (three years ago) link

shaq is straight up a dullard with nothing to say tho

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:46 (three years ago) link

the subtext of the show often feels like "maybe tonight is the night shaq will crack chuck's skull"

the serious avant-garde universalist right now (forksclovetofu), Friday, 22 January 2021 16:46 (three years ago) link

shaq also fucked around for a good portion of his career and has no credibility to challenge anyone to be better or whatever he was trying to do

call all destroyer, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:48 (three years ago) link

shaq literally never tried to get in shape his whole career lol

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:50 (three years ago) link

somebody should start a twitter where they arbitrarily break down what percentage of every current and historical player's success should be attributed to genetic lottery vs teammates vs drive vs coaching

the serious avant-garde universalist right now (forksclovetofu), Friday, 22 January 2021 16:55 (three years ago) link

if he keeps up these confrontational interviews someone is gonna call him a fat fuck on live tv

lag∞n, Friday, 22 January 2021 16:55 (three years ago) link

vs historical rule changes vs state of the league vs social support vs...

Christian wood calling him a casual was as good as it gets

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Friday, 22 January 2021 17:16 (three years ago) link

Sometimes I come across this narrative about Shaq that he is some brilliant cagey businessman, renaissance man even, and evidence to the contrary is him crafting his persona and playing the public. The people proposing this have clearly never watched Inside, or watched it infrequently enough to think it's really just an act.
