0-8 zero points yikes

Michael Porter Jr. is an amazing talent but Jokic hates him and that’s an easy decision

What’s the beef? Or is it just on court chemistry?

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:37 (three years ago) link

porter played so bad tonight my god hard to figure out what he was even thinking most of the time

― lag∞n, Tuesday, February 16, 2021 9:31 PM (twelve minutes ago) bookmarkflaglink

couldn't watch, what was he doing? just drifting?

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:44 (three years ago) link

The thing about MPJ is that he does dumb stuff but the on court reaction from players when he does it is MISERABLE. They don’t like him, they don’t support him, they don’t get excited when he makes a great defensive play (which is happening more often). In general there are very bad vibes.

bad shots! real bad shots

lag∞n, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:47 (three years ago) link

I don’t even think it’s a huge catastrophe, he needs a change of scenery and the Nuggets will be well compensated if they do it.

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:47 (three years ago) link

It seems like the nuggets got really nice players in Hampton and Nnaji, trading Porter for a veteran makes a lot of sense even if they didn’t hate him

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:48 (three years ago) link

who do you want from the spurs

class project pat (m bison), Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:49 (three years ago) link

Would you trade any of the 4 young studs for him?

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:50 (three years ago) link

Actually I guess you would because you have too many guards right? I would take white for sure

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 02:54 (three years ago) link

raps pulling out a win against the bucks despite a great giannis game. brook lopez looks washed

Wayne Grotski (symsymsym), Wednesday, 17 February 2021 03:28 (three years ago) link

yea he's been pretty bad the last few games. even so, the Bucks just don't look right, I'm starting to wonder if Bud will make it through the season

frogbs, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 03:44 (three years ago) link

gotta figure he's done if they don't make the finals right

Wayne Grotski (symsymsym), Wednesday, 17 February 2021 03:57 (three years ago) link

that 2019 series against the Raps is gonna haunt me forever isn't it

frogbs, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 03:58 (three years ago) link

yeah people forget how close they were to finishing the raps off. a couple more makes by George Hill or Bledsoe in that ugly double OT Game 3...

i enjoyed watching james harden play basketball tonight

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 17 February 2021 05:45 (three years ago) link

He’s been fun on the nets

I think we can all relate

Clay, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 07:29 (three years ago) link

you know who’s a guy who’s turning 36 soon and having a really nice season is chris paul

k3vin k., Wednesday, 17 February 2021 10:11 (three years ago) link

Remember like 8 years ago when Chris Paul’s knees were reportedly arthritic and his career was ending soonish

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 15:45 (three years ago) link

he really did looked cooked at the beginning of last season but he leveled up pretty quick.

Another great Timberwolves victory* last night

*being competitive for a large part of the game then losing by a few points at the end

poison pill provision kinda makes this impossible til next season, but white would fit in so well in den, least of all bc hometown kid. can play on or off ball, pairs nice with anyone in the backcourt. gives you harris' D skill but can shoot.

class project pat (m bison), Wednesday, 17 February 2021 17:19 (three years ago) link

the nuggets would do that deal if the spurs threw in like 3 first round picks

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 17 February 2021 17:54 (three years ago) link

You think MPJ’s value is that high rn? I honestly don’t know

Matt Armstrong, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 23:26 (three years ago) link

he would look amazing on a worse team

micah, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 23:40 (three years ago) link

i think a lot of teams would still be pretty enamored with his offensive potential. i wonder if any of the teams that red flagged him medically would revisit that.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 17 February 2021 23:52 (three years ago) link

3 first round picks might be high but it would def need to be 2 firsts if a player like derrick white is the main piece coming back

J0rdan S., Wednesday, 17 February 2021 23:57 (three years ago) link

derrick white is Actually Good, shut up

class project pat (m bison), Thursday, 18 February 2021 00:01 (three years ago) link

Jokic said some nice things after the game last night, it’s just so jarring to see how he reacts to bad plays from MPJ tho. Doesn’t do it for anyone else

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 18 February 2021 00:19 (three years ago) link

couple of embarrassing losses in a row for the nuggs, not great stuff

k3vin k., Thursday, 18 February 2021 03:36 (three years ago) link

this is a cursed season for so many good teams

class project pat (m bison), Thursday, 18 February 2021 03:43 (three years ago) link

uhh losing to the celtics is not "embarrassing"

lag∞n, Thursday, 18 February 2021 03:57 (three years ago) link

Those fouls by Jamychal at the end of the game were tough scenes

Matt Armstrong, Thursday, 18 February 2021 04:08 (three years ago) link

dame with 43 & 16 assists and the game winning and one not bad

Clay, Thursday, 18 February 2021 04:29 (three years ago) link

And Zion with 36 on 12-18 shooting and like 5 straight clutch FTs... and again doesn't touch the ball once on the final possession while Zo and Ingram brick horrible selfish shots back to back. Coaching staff, FO, and the players on that team better wake up and realize who the man undeniably is on that team sooner rather than later...

Sabre of Paradise (trevor phillips), Thursday, 18 February 2021 04:33 (three years ago) link

Absolutely inspired Kent Bazemore game.

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 18 February 2021 06:41 (three years ago) link

Good highlights on that pdx/nop game. Dame is a legit mvp candidate rn

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 18 February 2021 06:51 (three years ago) link

I’m loving Baze.

DJI, Thursday, 18 February 2021 07:04 (three years ago) link

speaking of good teams having cursed seasons and suffering embarrassing losses, heat just lost to the clippers w/o PG, kawhi or pat bev and then lost to the warriors w/o draymond in a game where steph shot 5-23 from the field. they have the kings tomorrow night on a b2b in the midst of a 7 game road trip and if they lose that one too it will be very messy

J0rdan S., Thursday, 18 February 2021 08:02 (three years ago) link

they were up by 15 in the 4th. weird team

a nice controlled drift (Spottie), Thursday, 18 February 2021 08:33 (three years ago) link

butlers performance or focus doesnt seem to be stable. he had some uncharacteristic lapses

micah, Thursday, 18 February 2021 08:44 (three years ago) link

putting aside the lakers who have the most superhuman basketball player ever the three other teams who made the bubble conference finals are a combined 40-44 so far this year

J0rdan S., Thursday, 18 February 2021 15:48 (three years ago) link

i know some of this is bc of fanlessness, but honestly with the dissolution of the superdubs and with an influx of young talent, i think some of this is driven by parity driven by improvements in 3-point shooting.
