mavs offense is gonna be insane in the regular season but they're gonna need to figure out how to defend teams in the playoffs and also if any of their guys will make shots when it counts. they might put up the no 1 offensive efficiency in the league tho

it turned out to be a bad summer to have cap space, the only important guys changing teams are lonzo and lowry. lonzo would've been an interesting fit next to luka tho in that he can play defense and shoot to some degree but can handle the ball w/o need it in his hands. would you rather have him at 4/80 or hardaway jr at 4/72? i guess they can exceed the cap w/ hardaway so idk how it all works out. they seem marginally better at best essentially making one change which is bullock over josh richardson

he’s also a guy who wants to have the ball in his hands and is behind two all stars who will eat up a lot of possessions. but he can shoot so that’s one thing

they're going to be a really good offense and a horrific defense.

Caruso is one of the best defensive players in the league and the lakers have like 5 nba players right now so I find this very strange

anyway i don’t understand the zion/pelicans thing at all. like, they were the no 1 pick two years ago what are they supposed to be doing, in the western conference no less. if he didn’t want to go there he should’ve just forced a trade before the draft. they’re running around like a headless chicken because he thinks they’re supposed to win, which is impossible given where they are, and then is like, hmm this is bad. yeah no kidding!

pels are extremely cursed and have done themselves no favors. like they probably should have spun off all those young lakers players from the AD trade immediately and now they're losing ball for chicago flotsam and i don't think ingram has a super high standing at this point.

my conclusion from the last two offseason is that rob pelinka is not a good GM and the lakers are not a well run organization
