but no matter how good their kenpom or their conference, michigan state going 19-14 (10-10), 3-7 on the road, 2-7 against ranked teams, and a loss in the conference quarters sounds like a first four team to me at best, not a straight-up 9 seed

it does seem like the committee worked hard to make sure uconn won't repeat. might not be hard enough though.

re: mountain west, they've been a very strong basketball conference for several years now. pretty much on par with if not better than the erstwhile pac-12.

i'm rooting pretty hard for arizona and caleb love, and creighton with my guy ryan kalkbrenner. and of course, i am down bad for keisei tominaga and nebraska

excited to watch dayton vs nevada. my cousin is the starting center for nevada and they're family friends with Daron Homes who's the star for Dayton (nba prospect). Had thanksgiving dinner with both of the, kinda wild they got matched up in the tourney.
