I'm predicting Purdue won't live up to their seeding either. They are big but slow and stodgy. It's only a matter of which quick-handed team they meet who can exploit their plodding style, disrupt their offense with steals and pressure, and scramble their defense with hard cuts and ball movement for open shots.

On the men's side just two games remain unfinished from the Frantic First Four Days, including a #1 seed going to OT against a #9. Soon enough 50 teams will have been eliminated. Every year it's an impressive mess. Long live the underdogs!

she's from Iowa State, not Iowa ... not trying to be pedantic, but worth noting so people aren't looking for her when Iowa plays (and because Iowa is the most watched team in women's college basketball right now).

Yeah she didn’t have a great game though I do feel the refs were calling her a little differently

on the men's side, some of the individual games have been exciting, especially in the first round, but the last couple of days had a lot of blowouts or games where one team was essentially in the driver's seat the vast majority of the game.

Colorado's women's team impressed me yesterday. Their shooting fell apart in the fourth quarter, but they managed to get back on track. They are a well-coached team with good players. I'm not optimistic about the next matchup, but am prepared to be pleasantly surprised.

Not a particularly exciting Men's Sweet 16 either! Mostly 1-5 seeds, and then the only two who don't fit this criteria are ACC schools. Only two teams not from the major 6 conferences are SDSU and the perennial Gonzaga entry. Can't always have the 2023 tourney experience I guess
