Did you see his post-game? Definitely no happy pills.

he didn't particularly look happy pills just before the game either. he looked INTENSE.

still having fun on bye week according to peter king's mvp watch:
4. Brett Favre, QB, Green Bay. On his bye Sunday, Favre did not chart any passes. My guess is he spent a long time cutting the grass, edging the front lawn where it meets the state highway in front of his house in Mississippi, then, for fun, watching the History Channel until he fell asleep.

We interrupt Hype Week to bring you news from the other 30 teams in the NFL. Actually, just one team. The Packers.
I'd just gone to bed without about two minutes left in the fourth quarter of the Green Bay-Denver Monday nighter, but I couldn't resist. I put in an ear-bud with the Westwood One broadcast, listening to Dave Sims and Bob Trumpy describe how the Broncos went the length of the field and forced overtime on yet another Jason Elam clutch field goal as time ran out. Then Green Bay won the toss to start overtime, and the rest soon became history.
Brett Favre, 38 but playing like 24, faded back to pass for the 14th time since the half. For the 13th time he completed the pass, according to Sims, a high-arching spiral to Greg Jennings down the sideline, caught in perfect stride at the Denver 40 over Broncos corner Dre Bly. He jogged in for the winning touchdown.
"Brett Favre is magic!!!" screamed Trumpy.
"I need oxygen!!!" screamed Sims.
Stupid me, I should have stayed downstairs, with the TV on. Now there's no way I could sleep for at least 15 or 20 minutes. My heart was beating a mile a minute, like I was there.

Green Bay Packers (6-1)
Boy, I just love to watch Brett Favre in one of those night games, whether it's Sunday or Monday. I learn all sorts of swell things about him. That the game is fun for him. That he's just a little kid at heart. "Impish," I heard at one point, or maybe it was "puckish." I don't like to brag ("Not much," says FR) but I believe I can supply a new fact. I ran the tape back and got a hang time on his winning pass, honest. It was 3.04, bad for a punt but pretty formidable for a heave.

Spoke on the phone to Packers WR Greg Jennings and he told me a fun Favre story from today. At one point, after Favre threw another touchdown pass, Jennings walked over to his quarterback and said, "You look like you're having fun out there." To which Favre said, "I'll be having a lot more fun if we win." Which the Packers did. And Favre is looking like he is having as much fun as he ever has.

Week 13 primer: Favre, Romo just wanna have fun By Vinnie Iyer - SportingNews
You wouldn't be wrong if you said Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are the NFL's best two quarterbacks, regardless of whom you would rank first. Besides, the spotlight was on them again to start the season, as Brady had all these wonderful new receivers and Manning finally was a defending Super Bowl champion. But in the "inferior" NFC, two other quarterbacks are making a case there should be room for four at the top.
Brett Favre could have not thrown a pass this season, and his legacy would have already been legendary, but now that he's in an absolute zone that rivals the best football he's ever played, he's become a special class of his own. Then there's Tony Romo, the heir apparent to the other three as being a terrific, prolific passer for America's Team for many years to come.
Brady and Manning are all about meticulous film study and preparation, which leads to them being more business-like on game day. Of course, Favre and Romo work just as hard to get to their level, but they share a playground style that often defies Xs and Os. It's easy to see they're having fun out there, and that makes watching them fun for us.
So regardless of who wins this week's big matchup in Texas Stadium, let's hope we'll see Favre and Romo go at it again -- in the playoffs, and hopefully, Favre willing, next season. As for who should win this week, Favre's Packers or Romo's Cowboys, let's find out in the. ...
Game of the Week
Green Bay at Dallas. Favre and Romo come from the same gunslinger mold, so expect both to be aggressive and confident in throwing the ball downfield on Thursday night because it will take a good amount of points to come out on top. It's up to them to contain their emotions early, where a mistake can be costly against either playmaking defense.
Both teams bring a good pass rush, the Pack led by Aaron Kampman and the 'Boys led by DeMarcus Ware, but Favre and Romo have excelled at firing passes downfield before the pressure can get to them this season. The key then, comes in making plays in coverage, especially over the middle. That's where Favre loves throwing slants to Donald Driver and Greg Jennings, and Romo loves to lob balls to Terrell Owens and Jason Witten. That's another problem. The Cowboys' 3-4 will be thrown off when the Packers go to four- and five-wide sets, and the Packers' linebackers and safeties can't handle Witten.
So most of the big plays and points in this game will come through the air ... no surprise there. So it comes down to the running games and which team can put the game away in the fourth quarter. Although Ryan Grant is working well in the Packers' zone-blocking scheme, the bruising running of Marion Barber III will give the Cowboys the advantage late. It's a shame that someone has to lose this fun Favre-Romo duel, but don't worry -- they will meet again with more on the line in January.
Cowboys 28, Packers 24.

Source: Favre probably back in '08

The Packers are conducting business like they expect Brett Favre to return in 2008 for his 17th season as its starting quarterback. A source close to Favre said this week while he can't know exactly what's going on in Favre's mind, the 38-year-old is having more fun this year than perhaps ever in his career, and that he'd be stunned if Favre doesn't come back next season.

If Favre retires (which I don't think he'll do, but I have no more information on it than the man in the moon), he's nuts. He's too good, having too much fun, and, when you read SI this week, you'll find out how much his game means to his 8-year-old daughter, Breleigh.
