so i was out in the suburbs this weekend & had like 2 hours to kill before a movie screening

google maps found a wine bar nearby so i went there & it was part of a chain, it is probably described as 'upscale' like the marketing guys who invented it realized there were lots of people with money who wanted to 'get into' wine but felt uncomfortable going to places that weren't part of a chain and excessively friendly

and i was thinking THIS GUY who is so enthusiastic talking about flights of wine at this place totally reminds me of jon gruden. welcome to our humble abode! don't be intimidated! what can we get for you? i was kind of grumpy when i got there & then was like, this is awesome, the sommelier is jon gruden

This Panthers team is pretty compelling

i think i like what carolina does on offense, it's conservative but they mix it up and call smart situational plays

yeah they can just do a lot with the ball, so i am not surprised they have all these long drives and possessions.

my guess is ne plan was to try to keep it tight early and then test the dodgy secondary later in the game when maybe the rush has lost some zip (and, it turns out, players). i think we see brady look downfield more now.
