chip spent all season preparing for belichick and neglected all the other teams on the schedule
― Mordy, Sunday, 6 December 2015 23:33 (eight years ago) link
i think a few of these dudes on NE watched the last two eagles games and figured they just had to turn up

eh not really RIP - they don't have Gronk, Edelman or Hightower this week which is a huge deal on both sides of the ball
surprised at stupid mistake after stupid mistake today but it happens

― arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 6 December 2015 23:52 (eight years ago) link
why is the oline so bad though, seriously - they're only missing solder.
this game is over
― arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Sunday, 6 December 2015 23:57 (eight years ago) link
Bill Burr's podcast will have some moments on this Eagles/Pats game no doubt.
Saw a bit of the Giants/Jets game and more than once JPP would get to the QB and have no hand to get ahold of them.
― earlnash, Monday, 7 December 2015 00:05 (eight years ago) link
Marshall/Decker also have a bit of the old Keyshawn/Chrebet action going on. People have been talking about how Fitzpatrick has filled in the Jets QB crater this year, but this is the best combo of wideouts the Jets probably have had since Keyshawn/Chrebet.
― earlnash, Monday, 7 December 2015 00:09 (eight years ago) link
uh oh
the wackiness continues
― arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 7 December 2015 00:11 (eight years ago) link
xp idk if it's the oline in particular, although they haven't exactly shone. eagles have blitzed well and pass def should be the thing they do best. but NE also made it too easy for them by dropping back to pass too often.
― Roberto Spiralli, Monday, 7 December 2015 00:19 (eight years ago) link
Eagles got the Bills, Cards and Hatcats at home then finish with the Giants.
Hatcats got Dallas, at Chicago, Buffalo, at Philly and at Dallas.
Looks like the Cowboys and Bills could decide the NFC LEast division winner.
Looking by matchup, I'd have to say the Hatcats might have a slight edge. Probably will come down to the head to game though as both of these clubs could lose a couple more games.
― earlnash, Monday, 7 December 2015 01:45 (eight years ago) link
So how long do you think it will take in the Philly sports media for the statement of "it's good that the Eagles beat the Pats, but Kelly's still got to go" will happen?
― earlnash, Monday, 7 December 2015 01:52 (eight years ago) link
I also got to think that Cam Newton is really the closest QB to John Elway to come along yet. People that kind of state Newton is not efficient as a passer really kind of miss that he is a hybrid player. I don't now that QBR can really capture players like that's run game or really the potential run, which a defense on every play has to take account. Every play there is probably a linebacker no matter the down or position that's job is to spy Newton and make sure he doesn't break out running up the middle.
― earlnash, Monday, 7 December 2015 02:33 (eight years ago) link
i imagine philly sports media to be worse than boston so.. don't want to find out what they think about chip kelly right now. it didn't take me long into the pats game to get super annoyed with the smug look on his face..
okay i was just wondering to myself where antonio brown got drafted. how was it that low?! tell me that's the same draft the pats took dobson and boyce
― arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 7 December 2015 03:55 (eight years ago) link
wait, winning one ugly game vs the pats' second stringers should save kelly?
― k3vin k., Monday, 7 December 2015 03:59 (eight years ago) link
thank you antonio brown, what was that
― arts and crafts THIS GUY (daria-g), Monday, 7 December 2015 04:24 (eight years ago) link
Eagles are on the hook for a bunch of bucks to Kelly whether he coaches for him or not, I could believe them trying to get another season out of him before cutting him loose.
I got to figure the Steelers are going to be the Wildcard team in the AFC no one should want to play. They play well and they could beat anyone in the AFC.
― earlnash, Monday, 7 December 2015 04:59 (eight years ago) link
yeah, ditto the Seahawks and the NFC.

a successful 52 yard drop kick through the uprights is a helluva achievement!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Hornung
― Eugene Goostman (forksclovetofu), Tuesday, 8 December 2015 21:25 (eight years ago) link
xp that was the 71 yard one! I was rooting so hard for that one. Every time I see a kicker nail a long field goal I wonder how long it WOULD have been good from. Someone's gotta be able to hit 71 given a dozen tries, right?
― frogbs, Tuesday, 8 December 2015 22:14 (eight years ago) link
wow brutal viking loss
― johnny crunch, Friday, 11 December 2015 04:23 (eight years ago) link
idk what the plan for that play was, looked like bridgewater was looking at the end zone. think whoever called that play really fucked up
― Roberto Spiralli, Friday, 11 December 2015 04:26 (eight years ago) link
yeah any play that could result in a sack should've been off limits, in fact I wouldn't fault them for kicking the FG right there. that said Vikings looked surprisingly good after getting smoked by Seattle, I was surprised they were able to put together a drive like that with 1:30 and one TO, Minnesota really isn't built for that
― frogbs, Friday, 11 December 2015 14:44 (eight years ago) link
it is definitely that time of the season when you can tell which teams don't give a fuck anymore
