Lamar already has the most 200+ yd passing/100+ yd rushing games in NFL history
― frogbs, Monday, 20 September 2021 03:13 (three years ago) link
excited to see this andy reid clock management
― mookieproof, Monday, 20 September 2021 03:17 (three years ago) link
that last lamar drive was so fun. his runs seem so casual, like the other team somehow forgot he existed.
― symsymsym, Monday, 20 September 2021 03:55 (three years ago) link
he would seriously run for 300+ yards against Green Bay
― frogbs, Monday, 20 September 2021 04:12 (three years ago) link
Huh...go figure, I guess Sam Darnold was not the problem with the NY Jets.

ESPN's gotta sign this kid
This kid crushed the Jets in his film breakdown from Sunday's game 😂(via td.sports | TikTok) pic.twitter.com/i8d0EI94ZX— The MMQB (@theMMQB) September 22, 2021

Lol Rodgers is so salty, ESPN is running a montage of him talking shit in interviews this week

I’ve forgotten how boring Thursday Night Football is.
― Mr. Snrub, Friday, 24 September 2021 01:53 (two years ago) link
Holy shit Justin Tucker wins it with a 66 yarder at the buzzer
Obviously this was against Detroit
― frogbs, Sunday, 26 September 2021 20:12 (two years ago) link
Bounced off the crossbar of course
― frogbs, Sunday, 26 September 2021 20:14 (two years ago) link
Chargers/Chiefs was a fun game

it's such a gift living in a place where you can see every down of giants and jets games without having to be distracted by other matchups
― mookieproof, Sunday, 26 September 2021 20:35 (two years ago) link
Oof that's rough
― Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Sunday, 26 September 2021 20:42 (two years ago) link
poor Detroit.
go Bills imo
― horseshoe, Sunday, 26 September 2021 20:44 (two years ago) link
Ok, Chicago you got your start for Fields and he got sacked 9 times. I'm sure you are ready to run him out of town now.
Garrett was in the backfield so fast on some plays you was thinking the Bears were running a power sweep with him.
― earlnash, Monday, 27 September 2021 05:39 (two years ago) link
I don't see why the Bears are starting with Dalton. I think this is pretty much all you're gonna get with him. They liked Fields enough to trade up for him and this defense doesn't look like it's gonna stop anybody right now
― frogbs, Sunday, September 12, 2021 10:11 PM (two weeks ago) bookmarkflaglink
hmmm so this take didn't hold up well
really cool to see Rodgers win it with 37 seconds and no timeouts but the game never should've come to that, some of the most lopsided reffing I've ever seen in a SNF game (sorry)
― frogbs, Monday, 27 September 2021 13:46 (two years ago) link
that noncall on the illegal hit to the helmet on Adams was a travesty
― Blues Guitar Solo Heatmap (Free Download) (upper mississippi sh@kedown), Monday, 27 September 2021 14:02 (two years ago) link
they also missed a really blatant intentional grounding before the end of the half, gave them a late hit on 3rd-and-10 even though Jimmy G released the ball like a tenth of a second before getting hit and the defender tried to let up anyway, and I thought LaFleur's challenge should've been successful given the ground clearly aided the catch. all 3 of those calls led to 49ers TDs. then the Adams non-call right after which was a big "why do I still watch this dumb sport" moment
― frogbs, Monday, 27 September 2021 14:14 (two years ago) link
Chicago will never learn that you can be a contender in the NFL with a good offensive line. My whole history as a Bears fan has been watching quarterbacks running for their lives, grappling with injuries, and ending up with Jay Cutler face. Fans whine about being unlucky with QBs, but plenty of decent QBs have rolled through and gone through this same pattern. They ruin quarterbacks there.
The refereeing in the game last night was awful, almost game ruining for me. There were also some plays in that Bears Browns game that went in the favor of the Bears that had me going "Whaaatt?" That game probably should have been a shutout.
― beard papa, Monday, 27 September 2021 16:32 (two years ago) link
lmao the ref ltierally went over to McCarthy to ask him if he seriously wasn't going to use a timeout there
― frogbs, Tuesday, 28 September 2021 01:50 (two years ago) link
Finally saw the clip of Justin Tucker's 66 yarder...what a bomb. That record might stick for a bit, Tom Dempsey's 63 yard kick hung around till 2013.
Bears got a problem in that the McCaskey's run the club like a family owned car wash.
― earlnash, Tuesday, 28 September 2021 23:25 (two years ago) link
Watched most of the second half of the Bengals and Jags. Pretty entertaining game and you never know in about ten years, it might be known as the first time Burrell and Lawrence met in the pros. Both of them looked really good, Lawrence can really run quite well for his size.
Watching the post-game interviews they both came off as good corporate CEOs of 'the product' well groomed in mike speak.
Local news stations around here do a pretty good job covering local high school football and it always cracks me up when they put the mike in front of these players often times you get these kids doing their version of the ESPN mike speak. And really, they are better groomed than yo would think.
Burrell and Lawrence both in their interviews are the next step beyond of that corpspeak...sounding near like tech CEOs in how their new software launched. All Lawrence needed was a turtleneck...defending how their work had been good but it had not yet come together.
― earlnash, Friday, 1 October 2021 14:09 (two years ago) link
I like Lawrence because he's got a good quarterback face...he's got some odd features and kind of looks like a caricature but is also fairly handsome. almost reminds me of Joe Namath. that's how QBs should look. and why I've always liked Manning more than Brady
― frogbs, Friday, 1 October 2021 14:17 (two years ago) link
Jacoby Brissett of the Miami Dolphins has the unique skill set of running for his life to evade a sack when he's in no danger of being sacked
― Gardyloominati (Neanderthal), Sunday, 3 October 2021 17:21 (two years ago) link
he is SO BAD
― Gardyloominati (Neanderthal), Sunday, 3 October 2021 18:09 (two years ago) link
i don’t wager but the packers only giving six points at home against the steelers is absurd
― mookieproof, Sunday, 3 October 2021 18:32 (two years ago) link
Miami finally showing signs of life on defense, Colts drive extended by most abysmally bad facemask call in history (hands nowhere near the mask). and then of course they score and basically put it almost out of reach.
sigh.....until Tua is back, this is gonna be a painful year
― Gardyloominati (Neanderthal), Sunday, 3 October 2021 19:39 (two years ago) link

wonder if a team has ever lost more yards in penalties than it gained from scrimmage
texans came awfully close today (100, 109)

thats fn crazy
― lag∞n, Sunday, 3 October 2021 20:54 (two years ago) link
Thought the Bears would’ve accomplished that last week but 47 yards total offense and 44 total penalties.

44 yards

lol I was thinking about that on the final Steelers drive, could totally see the Pack playing prevent defense and giving them an easy TD with :23 left. I mean that's what McCarthy always did
its weird seeing the Steelers in last place. I was surprised Ben was still playing...for some reason I thought he retired like 2 years ago. He didn't look great!
― frogbs, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:27 (two years ago) link
I hate Brady’s stupid face so much I’m rooting for the Pats what have I become

― lag∞n, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:31 (two years ago) link
yeah no winners in this matchup
that said seeing Belichick throw a bunch of crazy defenses at Brady is pretty cool. and it seems to be working thus far.
― frogbs, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:31 (two years ago) link
ben is averaging like two yards per pass
part of it is that his line sucks and that's all the time he has, part of it is that he can no longer scramble for the extra time, and part of it is that he simply can't throw the ball very far. coming into this game i don't think he'd even *thrown* a pass 20 yards upfield between the hashmarks, let alone completed one
― mookieproof, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:33 (two years ago) link
I have to admit that I…admire Belichick as a coach. Lord knows he’s outcoached the Bills almost every time he’s played us.
― horseshoe, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:33 (two years ago) link
the pats are driving me nuts with execution mistakes but this judon guy is a lot of fun
― call all destroyer, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:34 (two years ago) link
xxp yeah he's in that late stage Eli phase where you know you're not going anywhere with him but you're probably worse off benching him
― frogbs, Monday, 4 October 2021 02:36 (two years ago) link
rather than benching ben the steelers should kill him idk just feels right
